I stayed here in celebration of my birthday. The place was nice and clean, wonderful view, and balcony, I am glad no animals were coming into the room :). They didn`t give us the Wi-Fi password and we didn`t check but I am guessing they have it as there was a router on the TV stand. The kitchen was very nice, my girlfriend loved it, the bathroom was perfect and clean, and the aircon was not working fine, but that was not a big deal since it was winter. Parking was easy to get to, safe with the guards 24/7

Let me start with the staff: they were not very friendly and need customer service training. The ceiling board was leaking, and we had to change rooms. There was no bathroom mat, and the rooms were small. Serious renovations are needed. The TV and air conditioning weren't working, and the Wi-Fi password was also not working .

We visited some exquisite restaurants, from Jack Salmons in La Lucia to Goundens curry place in Umbilo road. Both, highly recommended. We also tried Mali's Restaurant in Windermere too.
For the most part, self catering options allowed us to explore the fresh, readily available fantastic range of unusual local vegetables, produce and quality meats that are extremely economical in pricing compared to Joburg and Cape Town.
There are so many hidden gems if you know where to look.🥳
On the other hand, Town is a disappointment and online advertising of specials and places to see, is limited. Unless you know locals, you end up going to only what the Tourism Board advertises and in reality, some of the places are run down, badly managed, or derelict.
The beaches are not what they used to be. I am originally from Durban and I was heartsore to see how badly managed it is. There are great improvements and construction going on for the roads, but the heavy congestion and re-routing prevents you from exploring many areas of interest. The Workshop - which was a famous mall, is now an unkempt eye sore. Sad how many beautiful buildings and businesses have been destroyed through lack of respect and maintenance.
As we drove through town, it was sad 😔 There is little respect for rules of the road and you need to be extra vigilant, as cars keep driving through red robots without consideration for other vehicles. I would highly recommend being extra careful. 🙏🏼
Durban is the one city in SA, that has the most potential, Beautiful weather, amazing history, great museums and wonderful cultures. It is doing them a disservice, by not giving local businesses the boost they need.
No one wants to spend a holiday in a fancy mall. They would do brilliantly, if they allowed all people, of all cultures to contribute meaningfully to the development of this once beautiful city.❤️

This is a place where i will always visit, they way i experienced i also wants my kids to have the same experience, it was for the second time since i came back in 1998 but the moment and the place where i stay it took back those memories, it was also cheap to visit different areas as i was using bolt and i think i spent less than R500 and my wife was happy,
Visiting Durban from Cape Town and staying at Belinda’s apartment was so lovely. The self check-in was smooth, the views from this top floor apartment were amazing, I enjoyed the pool on the 7th floor and overall I felt completely safe in this apartment. The amenities, restaurants, cafès, bars, liquor and grocery stores were literally right next door to the apartment building and travelling with Uber to other areas such as DBN CBD, towards Suncoast, Ballito Bay and Umhlanga Rocks was really cost-effective and less than a 15 minutes journey.
The Hotel has lots of charm. The room that I had stayed in was neat, clean and tidy. All the available items within the room were operational, including the usb charging sockets. The bathroom was cleaned daily and toiletries replaced accordingly. The towels were clean and white. Whilst the hotel has old school charm, it is a perfect destination for a business stay. It is central to durban as well as to pinetown.
The view to the ocean is beautiful an the rooms are big including breakfast staff is always friendly an helpful and with breakfast an one more thing great breakfast always different food of breakfast that is super great because we are always here in Durban until August so sometimes we change hotels to see the difference but this Belaire Suits Hotel so far is the the best thanks.
Great Breakfast buffet. Great selection and excellent service.
Overall very friendly staff who go out of their way to make accommodate requests.
Room was lovely. The pools in the hotel were great. Beautiful garden. Lovely view of the ocean. Excellent location near Umhlanga village. Highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Durban.
I did like just like the location, near the beaches, but other things were poor,no receptionist;only the security, no wifi, too much noises loud music from some residents as it's mixed (the hotel and residential place)you feel unsecured..............
The location was absolutely amazing, we could not have gotten better for what we were looking for for our time in Umhlanga - all of the restaurants/bars/shops all walking distance. The aircon worked amazingly in the Durban humidity.
Great accommodation, central to umhlanga and all the good beaches. Pet friendly ! Which is a huge plus, as Durban lacks decent pet friendly accommodation. Each room/cottage even has its own little garden, patio and braai.
The hotel was modern and new. The rooms were spacious. The bed was comfortable. Great sea views. The TV was high definition. Nice central location in Umhlanga - close to Gateway Mall and Umhlanga Rocks.
Beautiful, spacious and clean house. The location is great. Near the beach and a 15 minute drive to central Durban. The owner and the staff are really kind and helpful. Great for a group of friends.
The location was excellent, very central to gateway and the beach. Easy access to the main road to Durban. The flat was very cozy and clean. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Breakfast was good, and had variety of choices. The hotel location is good as it is easily accessible and near the beach. I just loved it. It is close to many amenities.
Everything the hospitality, the location is near the beach and restaurants, the room was nice and big and comfortable, the breakfast was just a cherry on top
