Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LuxembourgThe beds could be a little softer. But I slept fine (and I’m very sensitive to beds).
Great location, very close to the center with easy infrastructure having the metro literally next door. The area of the hotel itself is nice, too, offering great places to eat close by as well as a fairly short walk to many sightseeings and museums. The hotel is neat and clean and taking a room on either of the last two top floors provides you with a nice airy view and a spaceous room for a fair price. The lobby at the hotel is welcoming albeit the bar slightly old-fashioned as well as the crowd. In summary, I would definitely recommend.

MontenegroTwo things I have to stress: 1. No normal door in bathroom, just sliding panel, no isolation at all from the rest of room 2. Awful WIFI capacity, only for messages
Breakfast is very good, room is clean. Not expensive, Area around hotel is quiet, still walking distance to metro station, some places to eat etc.

SerbiaI have nothing to complain about. Maybe the hotel parking is a bit expensive.
The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very varied and of high quality. The staff at the hotel are very friendly, all praises. The location of the hotel is excellent. Walking to the center in 15-20 minutes. Metro station just around the corner.

GermanyThe WIFI connection was sometimes unstable and even sending messages could take several minutes. However, most of the time everything was fine.
Almost everything was excellent, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff was nice and polite. The location is great - two metro stations from the center, about 10 minutes by metro to Schönbrunn palace.

IsraelNot friendly staff at lobby. Metallic 5 cm pin door-stopper in bathroom exactly between the sink and the toilet (it’s in the center of bathroom) So you washing your hands, making one tiny step and STEP onto it right away. Well, you can also step on it when you leave the bathroom. I almost broke my toe on it. Twice The carpet in corridor wasn’t cleaned for century… Not just dirty, but smelly…
Central location, comfortable bed.

United KingdomWe didn’t have breakfast included in our stay, and we were keen to add it on but at €20 per person per day we felt it was easier and cheaper to go elsewhere.
This is a great hotel in a good location in Vienna. You can walk into the centre (about 25 mins to Karlsplatz) but it is very easy to get the u banh wherever you need to go. The u banh is a few minutes walk away and takes you to both the city centre and Schonbrunn palace. The hotel itself is clean and the staff are friendly, they even gave us a voucher for a free drink at the hotel to celebrate my birthday. The rooms was nice and spacious.

Nice and clean room. Reasonable price. Good location - fairly close to the center so you might take a longer walk. It's also 5-minute walk to the metro station, so there is good communication.

United Kingdom-Breakfast - mainly very good, varied choice of fresh, tasty ingredients. Hot buffet - not so good, very limited -scrambled eggs. Also, bacon on 3 days ( I took breakfast on six days, so three days had only scrambled eggs}. Almost unique for hotels not to have more variety than this (no Viennese sausages for example!). Coffee, out of a machine only. Talking of coffee, facilities in rooms very basic - kettle, 4 sachets of Earl Grey and fruit-flavoured teas, no coffee, no kind of milk. I'm not disabled but for the sake of other future guests - Pilgramgasse Ubahn station very close, but no disabled way of accessing one of the two platforms (the other platform uses an extensive slope, whiich all travellers use}. An I.T suite for use by guests is advertised, but poor. 2 computers (with printers) available, only Windows 7 installed, took ages to do very basic tasks (I gave up after 30 minutes). I don't smoke but some guests do - unfortunately, there are sometimes about 5-8 smokers directly outside the hotel entrance blocking the way in.
Breakfast - mainly very good - varied choice of fresh, tasty ingredients. Hot buffet - not so good, very limited, scrambled eggs. Also, bacon on 3 days ( I took breakfast on six days, so three days had only scrambled eggs. Staff - non- obtrusive, but friendly, helpful and efficient. Room - similar to e.g. Travelodge or Premier Inn, and excellent night's sleep (despite extensive, long-term building work involving the road/metro line directly outside the hotel. All work stopped c. 5 p.m. Not really aware of this building project from within the hotel, not even in reception or in the extensive dining room, both of which are just a few metres away from the main entrance, and the building works outside. Very clean. The location of Pilgramgasse Ubahn station about 300 metres away, which is just 2 stops away from the centre of town, is fantastic.
