It’s close to the harbour and the area is not very secure.

It’s a cozy and quiet house with very generous and friendly hosts. They are up to help you with nearly everything you need in town.

The room doesn’t have AC: this is uncomfortable during hot nights but we knew this and to be fair, we paid very little for this accomodation. However, tidiness is another thing. The bathroom and the room were not clean and we could not use the pool as it was dirty but it would still have been fine if there were no huge cockroaches on the stairs, by the pool and even getting into our room. Overall, we were surprised to see the center of Sao Luis full of huge cockroaches, which made our experience way less exciting than we hoped for.

The house is authentic; it looks great from the first glance. We could use the kitchen and the living room, there’s a pool. Very charming vibe. Also, the host who met us was friendly and very welcoming. The location is good - very central in the historic center of Sao Luis, which was convenient.

There's no parking on the property. Although people said it would be secure to leave the car in the street, I didn't feel comfortable with that. Luckily, the owner was able to help me with that by finding a parking location at a nice cost.

It's a wonderful restored place. It can make you travel back in time and have a great experience, with a strong taste of history. The owner and crew are great and helped us to solve all the issues we faced.

There was no air con, and although there were 3 ceiling fans in the room, it was really hot and stuffy during the night.

The location was great, in the middle of the old town. The room was clean, the building is beautiful, there are a lot of places to sit down and relax.

When I arrived nobody opened the door, so I had to wait on the street, after dark, with all my stuff - not great. Casa Frankie has two houses that are close to each other. One of them doesnt even have a doorbell or similar. They've got only one person covering both places, which is impossible. They only opened the door after I called them, which shouldn't be necessary.

They have 2 different houses one with pool and the other has not. You can access it but has to walk outside the property. The room has not A/C. São Luís can get really warm. Also, the location is very dangerous night time.

Noisy location, abandoned buildings everywhere, street animals, sad drank men all around. The bedroom was a little bit too warm.

Our room wasn't in the main 'Casa Frankie' building. It was in a smaller, more basic building down the street. There were few places to sit and relax outside the room down here, the main building looked a lot nicer.

The area is not super safe at night, the Uber drivers always instigated on waiting in front of the door until we were inside when we came home late. Better info from the host about security would be helpful.

Super beautiful building in colonial style, nice common areas and rooms, courtyard with pool and mango tree. Even though we book a room in the secondary building we were offered to stay in the main building for the same price. The secondary building is separated from the main one, we have not seen it as you have to get out on the street and walk over there.

There are two buildings, which are very close together. If I had realised, I would have made sure we were in the main building, but that is a minor thing as both were lovely.

The building is absolutely lovely, and the courtyard with the mango tree and pool is very relaxing. The location is perfect for exploring the historic centre.
