Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. ChileThe room was a bit dusty when i checked in, but i guess thats because the place is near the desert. Not a big deal. The hotel is far from everything, so make sure you take all the basics you need.
The athmosphere is relaxed, the hotel is beautiful and has this desert vibe. Staff is super friendly. I liked the fact they provide you with water unlimited (no plastic). I stayed here because of the divecenter is right in the hotel, excelent team, gear, always looking after you. The dives were amazing.would def come back.

This is one of those places that is special and will stay in your heart and mind. Such a gorgeous hotel and the landscape is stunning. The staff are friendly, the food is great and it really is beautifully designed. To top it off, Emperor Dive school is on site, and they are beyond excellent. I am coming back Inshallah!

United KingdomExpectations need to be set before booking about location, facilities and food. The location is perfect if wanting total peace and quiet, or diving. We spent 4 days (of our 1 week) diving and this was the perfect location hotel for this activity. The house reef, and trips organised by Emperor Divers were top-quality. Without diving, the hotel would have been too isolated for us as there are no shops, restaurants, or bars nearby. To get anywhere, a driver has to be booked through the hotel - which is fine but needs organising - has to be paid in cash (remember Euros!) - and is expensive (we paid 30 euro for a 7km return trip to Abu Dabbab beach + 27 euro entry to the beach!). If you are happy with the isolation just be aware that there are no shops or facilities on site - no-where to get a snack, or drink outside of the three mealtimes. Half- or full-board is a must! We had half-board; the breakfast was fine, and the evening meal on the whole good. Be aware it is a 3-course set menu with no choice; everyday consists of soup (we had the same variation on a theme 6 out of the 7 days), chicken, beef or fish dish with rice, bread, salad, and a dessert (we had the same variation on a theme 7 of the 7 days).
The location is very remote - as long as that's what you want, then the hotel would be absolutely perfect. Beautiful hotel, wonderful pool, 3 minute walk to the beach/house reef, and an excellent dive centre on site. It was very quiet when we went (early April) with only about 50 other guests. The staff were excellent - both in the hotel and at the dive centre, Emperor Divers. The food - overall - was good but see below! We would visit again - now we know what to expect (see below).

FranceOn a couple of occasions, the room could have been a bit more thoroughly cleaned, and sometimes there were minor lapses in restocking amenities like toilet paper.
This hotel is a hidden gem in Marsa Alam. The stunning designs blend perfectly with the surroundings. The entire lodge exuded a sense of tranquility. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The food offered at the restaurant was exceptionnal.

GermanyThe whole stay was great. The location was perfect, a 30 min taxi from the airport. It was a 5 min walk to the beach where you could relax or go snorkeling on the reef. The staff were wonderful, especially the restaurant staff, and the food was fresh and delicious every day. We would happily visit again.

United KingdomThe shower ‘tray’ was not properly insulated in my bathroom so every time I have showered I had to use towels to prevent the whole bathroom floor to get wet. The guy who serviced my room didn’t really understand English so the communication was limited with him. For some reason he has not refilled the coffee/tea unit according to its previous daily consumption so I usually ended up with lots of tea but no coffee or more coffee but no tea. He only filled my room’s water bottle once so I don’t know whether this was also his duty or he only done it once because of kindness. Otherwise he was a kind guy always smiling and greeting me from the distance. The hotel offer some extra services which are overpriced e.g. taxi transport from and to the airport for €30 one direction when you can get this service by booking online for €12-15. I have not asked for their prices for the day tours as probably they would add a hefty commission charge for the same tours that you can book online yourself too for a much better price. The local dive centre is more expensive than the nearby dive centres. I have booked one PADI course with the neighbouring dive centre as it offered cheaper prices and at the same time they had better reviews on PADI official website too. The local dive centre does not offer free usage of snorkelling mask and pipe despite being the hotel guest but you can rent them.
Very stylish building. Using local materials for some of the stone work which was corals in the past. In there botanical garden they planted mostly endemic plants to Egypt. The food quality was good and they had reasonable pricing in their restaurant.

ThailandOur bathroom had an issue with the hot water. Someone was sent on the first night and he managed to fix the issue. However the next night we faced the same problem. The staff at reception came to check and when he felt it was hot he just told us it worked. But it went hot to cold hot to cold and was truly unbearable considering the weather temperature was low during our stay.
Luxurious, peaceful and serene. Relaxation at its finest with attentive staff. The food is to die for. Breakfast was delicious but the set dinner menus were out of this world. We ate like queens.

PolandPractically no wifi in the room, it was working (slowly) only in some common areas. No sound proofing in the room (even with closed window you could hear neighbours having a normal conversation, coughing or moving their chairs like if they were in your room). Confusing pricing for beverages, i.e. with full board option tea is included with breakfast (it is also free in each room) but when you have the same tea with dinner, you are asked to pay for it separately. Hotel quotes for transport (to airport or between hotels) are way more expensive than arranging it though external tour companies or other hotels.
Architecture of the hotel building is beautiful - it has great esthetics and immediatly brings calmness. The standard room was large and clean with beautiful decor, terrace and sea view. The location was very peaceful and the food was trully delicious. There were beautiful views all around. The restaurant manager was very friendly and attentive. There are snorkeling opportunities right by the hotel from their private pier. It is a unique place very different from the big resorts perfect for those looking for peace away from the crazy noisy places. Overal I would recommend staying in the hotel if you are not expecting to be on the Internet much and bring earplugs in case you have neighbours :)

GermanyInternet is a bit glitchy but it is going to be fixed really soon. As for me, I enjoyed the digital diet.
This is an amazing and very unique place - so tranquil and peaceful, between sea and desert. Thought through into every detail, wonderful rooms, comfortable bed, from which you can observe the sunrises and the sea. A beautiful library and delicious Egyptian cuisine. Own beach in couple of metres, access to the sea via jetty with a wonderful house reef. Diving centre at the beach, where you can go on shore and boat dives, as well as snorkeling. The hotel offers also tours to the desert. If you're looking for a place to relax and rest your mind, that's the one (no animation, loud music etc - so perfect!)

The table serverd authentic Egyptian food was so delicious. Don't worry if you travel on your own. You will be invited by the GM Moustafa Elkerdani to join dinner at the so callled communitytable and meet up with staf and other guests. Simply to let us have an splendid holiday. For sure a place to vistit again.....our next stay is already booked! As we are divers it was great that Emperor Divers new divecenter is located in this hotel. United States of AmericaThis place is a literal gem. The beautiful architecture works harmoniously with the natural environment and surroundings. ‘Peaceful’ is the word I would use to describe Wadi Sabarah, yet so interesting, with its botanical garden and the library, that elevate the place, giving you the sense that you arrived in a unique place. There is a diving center near the beach, you can do yoga at sunrise or sunset, and every night before dinner the diving center staff hosts a presentation about the Red Sea marine life. If you are travelling solo, you can join the community table at dinner to have a chat with other guests and some people from the staff (including the MD Mustafa, who was very welcoming and eager to talk about anything). The staff was incredibly nice, from the restaurant to the housekeepers, and I always had the feeling of being looked after. This is a special place and I will be back, next time for some diving!

CanadaI had an injury to my feet when I arrived. My suggestion would be to have a golf cart perhaps for visitors with mobility issues, it was a long walk to the beachfor someone with difficulties walking.I would have liked more variety in the meals. Although the first dinner we had was a delicious seafood feast. I do also wish that the hot water workings was better explained. It took a few minutes at least to get it going. It is because it is an eco property and they use solar power is what I understand.
It was a beautiful spot. The staff was very helpful and kind. The rooms were lovely. I like the fact that it is an eco property. I loved the views, the gardens and the library.

SpainEverything was great!
We loved our experience in this beautiful hotel. Everything is made for you to be relaxed. The location, the architecture, decoration, even the way the light is perceived makes you feel at ease. The food was incredible, the best food we had in Egypt by far. They even made their own bread, which was amazing. The service and the facilities are even better than in the pictures: the restaurant offers amazing views to the sea and they even have a library where you can borrow books and relax. Moreover, the hotel is right next to a coral reef that remains untouched and full of live. The hotel can provide you with masks and fins for snorkeling. The people working at the hotel are super nice and will make you feel at home. I would highly recommend to stay at Wadi Sabarah if you are looking to disconnect and relax in the dead sea.
