Better upkeep of the shutters, which are nice and old but not well maintained and do not all close which is a pity.

The experience of living in the nineteenth century but with a modern bathroom, and the sunny little breakfast room/kitchenette included in the spacious old room with some period furniture that we had in the hotel annex a few doors away (not all guests are given rooms in the main hotel).

Delightful bedroom with high ceiling, tastefully furnished and comfortable. Excellent French breakfast served in style. The location was great, very close to the Granat museum and easy walking distance into the centre of town.

This hotel is full of character with traditional French decor. The owner was very helpful. The location is ideal, in a quiet road running parallel to the Cours Mirabeau.

This is a fairly charming hotel with old fashioned decor in a great location. Everything was neat snd clean and breakfast was good. Our room and bath was a funny mini-suite, fully updated but with walls that looked 2 feet thick. Storing our bikes in our room was easy and convenient. But I imagine every room is unique.

A very characterful hotel with lots of old fashioned charm. Our room was absolutely lovely - beautiful soft furnishings and old wooden furniture and a delightful view over Aix and nearby mountains, We had a superb breakfast in a very beautiful dining room. The staff were lovely. Finally, it was very conveniently located in a quiet, attractive street in the old town. Perfect.

The cleanliness of bathroom, some hair around the radiator. The room had the small terrace, but the floor of it was super dirty. So actually you can’t use it at all.

Another member of the staff was somewhat cool to us. She did nothing to make us feel welcome, quite the opposite. It seemed she was too busy to help us with our questions. There needs to be a way to get a cup of coffee in the morning! A kettle would be an excellent addition to the room.

The location was excellent. Chadira was friendly and so helpful to us when we arrived. She really was the best thing about the facility. It was nice, and the room was decorated according to the feel of this vintage hotel and it was big. The bathroom small was somewhat small, but served us fine.

The train station is a considerable distance from downtown Aix-en-Provence. The hotel itself has a very good location. Our only complaint about the room was the AC, which was an issue at every hotel we stayed at.

Plan ahead if driving by car, as is typical of old city centers many streets are blocked or one-way. Taxi is much easier.

Breakfast pretty average. I recommend not getting it with your room because there’s so many wonderful boulangeries within two blocks of the hotel.

Lack of amenities, only soap and bath gel. no slippers, bathrobe, fridge and safety box. There’s not any shop around there so we have to buy expensive pet bottles at the hotel.

We had a kitchenette so did our own breakfasts. The location was perfect - a 2 minute walk to rue D’Italie and 5 minutes to Cours Mirabeau. We loved the Christmas trees in the hotel and the beautiful nativity sets.
