The showers were clean but a bit small. You can do laundry there but there are only 2 washing machines and 2 dryers

Nice hostel! I stayed in a pod in a women only dormitory and the bed was comfortable. Amenities were great, staff was helpful. The hostel is close to the station

Nothing of significance.

The Hostel: I stayed in the “courtroom” and despite having upwards of 30 beds, it was spacious, welcoming, functional, clean and quiet. Each bunk is equipped with a privacy curtain, charging station (USB connections only) and a large electronic locker for your valuables — locks use a numerical code to open/lock. There's plenty of space in the room for oversized luggage. WiFi network, shower and water pressure all worked great. Common areas offer cozy vibes with plenty of seating and whisky/beer tastings. The Stay: The bed was comfortable and the dorm is well designed. CoDE is situated in a very safe and secure neighborhood. The hostel is gated with entry codes provided to guests for access control. Its prime location emerged as the standout feature. Conveniently located and a short distance to most attractions (100 Airport Link is a brief walk away). The Service: The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They were always available to answer questions and offer tour recommendations. Towels are provided free of charge and the breakfast was great. Social activities held on-site regularly. 10/10 would recommend!

We had to store our luggage for the Skye tour and the POD does not offer storage once you have checked out. We had to use an app to find another hostel that offered luggage storage. We got to see another option for hosteling, and I think we all felt lucky to have picked the POD.

As a 63 YO female traveling with friends, none of us had never stayed at a hostel before. The POD was right in front of our tour company's pick-up point for our 4 day trip to Skye, so we booked it. 5 of us in one of the 8 pod private rooms. We had just completed 4 days at the Marriot in Edinburgh as well as 5 day self-drive tour staying in various AirBNBs as well as one night in Sterling Highlands Hotel. None of us knew what to expect of the POD and really enjoyed the unique (to us) experience of hanging in the bar and common areas and making our breakfast in the morning in the communal kitchen. Staff was great. Bathrooms were immaculate. Bedding was pristine and comfortable. The theme was cool. Never been to jail, so it was a first for me. Convenience was great.

The corridors were a little dark. making it a difficult for a slightly vision impaired person as myself to key the entry codes in. But that was all part of the atmosphere .

It was 1st time for me staying in this type of accommodation and I was surprised by the pleasant atmosphere. The pod was comfortable and I felt secure. I wish I had discovered this type of accommodation when I was younger. The other guests were respectful and considerate. Making it an enjoyable experience.

So central. I was nervous about staying in a hostel but it was absolutely fine, I felt safe, I loved my little bed pod curtains for privacy. The staff were great.

I expected a little bit of noise with it being a hostel so I booked the smallest dorm available (at time of booking, 8 person) but it was particularly noisy with people running up and down corridors shouting and screaming at midnight.

Quirky. Washroom facilities were new, modern, clean. Pod was perfect for privacy. Lockers well thought out idea not requiring coins. Coffee/ Breakfast available from 0700hrs. Shared kitchen was nice in the morning. Great location.

On the hotel’s website and the frequently asked questions on Booking, the hostel says they keep costumers bags during local travels to the Highlands, for example. However, whe I asked to leave my luggage for my 2-day tour to the Highlands once I would be back gor another night at the hostel, the receptionist said they wouldn’t keep my luggage after check-out uner ‘no circunstances’. That’s absolutely nonsense and illogical as they do have a luggage deposit ans I would be happy to have paid for it. I had such a hard time to find another place to keep my luggage. For this reason, I wouldn’t come back if I had local trips booked.

I really enjoyed location and the comfortable pods. The hostel buildings is very picturesque too.

The cleanliness of other people in the shared room, there were no available power points as people were using them, but they were not in the room. Bench space was taken up by empty bottles and other items belonging to people in the shared room.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The sleeping pod is private and clean, and lockers are available to keep valuables safe. Location of the hostel is perfect and in amongst it all. The whisky and gin tasting downstairs was great! This is my second time staying here and I would recommend it to anyone as its very good value for money and not like any other hostel.

Perfect location on the royal mile. Easy access to the structure, clean and comfortable. Hot water for showers and clean toilets. System works with codes and allows access 24/7. All in all it s very efficient and works properly with no issue.

Would happily stay here all the time. Such a great backpackers. The privacy of the pods were fantastic. The staff helped me with everything I needed. Nice and quiet.
