How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. One lift was out of order at the time, so the wait to get up and down floors took a while. There are stairs available however our uggage was too heavy to carry up all the flights of stairs.
Great location to airport parking and airport itself. Easy to find spaces in the hotel carpark. The people working on reception were very friendly and helpful.

Staff is lovely and very patient! I accidentally left my bag in a taxi to the airport and they helped me get it back. The hotel is very well designed. Great breakfast and great location close to the airport.

Hotel was tired and only one lift was working so there was a queue for the lift at all times. People hanging about outside reception at night making it feel a little unsafe

Lifts broke. parking costs extreme
There was only one lift working and it was tedious trying to get up to the room I have mobility issues and couldn't walk 4 flights . £ 13.50 a day for parking up as a guest? !!!!

Provide wash clothes better menu at the resteraunt. Shower unit can burn you in the shower. no one to help with bags so for a person of our age it was tough.
The staff was good resteraunt was comfortable. We liked the service just not much they could provide.

School party shouting and screaming in the corridors when we were trying to sleep. Air conditioning was also noisy.

Only 1 lift was working so not good when everyone was leaving in the morning with suitcases had to carry heavy suitcase down the stairs as it kept going past our level and when it came back down was full.
Clean and friendly. Food was good value.

I didn't enjoy breakfast but that might have been my fault since I decided to have eggs.
The service staff is friendly, location of the hotel is great whether you take the airport shuttle or public transport. The room was clean and comfortable but don't expect anything spectacular, it meets your basic needs. I would visit again if I needed to be in that area, but I wouldn't choose eggs for breakfast next time.

Our rooms were ready but we still had to wait till 3 to drop our bags at our room ... I find it annoying but we didn't even get back to the hotel till like 10:30 pm .. I spent maybe 5 hours in total in the hotel.
The place was super clean. There was an early bag drop off in a storage space.

Out of the control of the staff, one elevator was broken at the time meaning all guests were trying to get up or down on the same one.
Excellent location for getting to and from the airport. Unfortunately can't remember the name of the girl at reception but she was very friendly which immediately gives a good impression. The room was sizeable, the bed was comfortable and if I needed anything the staff were happy to oblige. There's also the Hotel Hoppa Bus that leaves you to the front door within 10 minutes. Obviously works the other way around as well. Definitely be a choice for me when travelling to/from Heathrow in future.

Clean, quiet, had all the facilities I needed. Good breakfast. The taxi driver didn't know about you so dropped me off at another ibis on the same road. I walked, dragging my suitcase and tripped over an irregular pavement and fell, .very which left me in a bad mood. However the facilities cheered me up.

The fact that I was charged breakfast for my kids - 3 of them and one did not even eat anything. Compared to similar hotels breakfast for 2 kids came free with full breakfast purchase. So my 3 kids should have eaten for free based on what i was charged.
