How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room was quite warm, even with the windows open. Understand that the weather was warmer than normal for NI but air con option would have been nice. That is the only slight criticism through.
Room was massive and very clean. Good choice for breakfast and good quality produce/ingredients. Excellent location for our stay for a family wedding at the City Hall and Deane's at Queen's.

Shower not easy to operate and shower cubicle a little small. Breakfast was more like a premier Inn and not very interesting or tasty. Coffee service via camping jugs poor.
Staff wer very friending and helpful. Food at dinner was delicious and service was swift. Bed was comfortable

Hand held Shower head was broken. But had the rain shower head so was able to use that.

Window in bathroom didnt close/lock. Toilet leaking so had wet socks. Reported both to reception staff so hopefully these will be fixed. Kitchen floor sticky. Couldn't find how to turn on heat. Wallpaper peeling in kitchen but hadn't expected an apartment and wasn't an issue. If these things sorted would change review from good to very good. Would stay again
Proximity to botanic gardens. Staff very friendly & helpful. On site car park. Foyer very relaxed atmosphere and good seating. Good breakfast.

Bar area not really cosy or inviting and bar food was average.
Friendly staff throughout the hotel from reception, to the bar, cleaning staff and at breakfast. Nice room. Coffee machine, kettle, hairdryer, iron, dressing gown, slippers and lovely toiletries all provided. Great location - in close proximity to Botanic Gardens for a concert Good breakfast and very pleasant gentleman looking after guests here.

Staff need to care more and act a bit more with urgency. A more senior manager needs to install a better work ethic.
Central to everything we needed to discover. Decent restaurants and very walkable.

Perhaps the view as we looked over another wall, however we understand that this it out of the hotel's control. A taxi was booked for us from the hotel staff but it wasn't done properly the first time so had to re-request the booking when a taxi never arrived. The curtains created an outdated feel in the room.
Loved the breakfast and the facilities in the hotel. The linen was lovely and soft and thoroughly enjoyed the bath in the bathroom. Happy to have a hair-dryer supplied as well as a kettle for an early morning coffee.

A little bit of thought to upgrade the lighting (white lights are not too pleasant) and sockets near the bed please. The cleaning staff had an office near my room and arrived early and were generally noisy with chat and their trolley which was a bit off putting.
The friendly welcome, amazing staff, lovely reception and dining. The location was perfect.

Just one thing there was a bit of noise early in the morning with trolleys being pushed outside to which I assume was a store room which seemed to be behind the wall of the bed. It didn't bother us too much but might annoy someone looking for a lie in. For reference we were room 207.
Staff were absolutely exceptional from the very minute we set foot inside the hotel. Their customer service was just brilliant

Our room was a little small, but friendly staff moved us to a bigger room, very happy 😊

My room was 191 over the kitchen and was a bit noisy
