Quirky room but very comfortable with fabulous bath and bed

Our room had a slight ‘foisty’ smell-potentially owing to it being in a boat. Didn’t spoil the stay but was noticeable.

Great location, super friendly staff and a lovely quirky uniform in keeping with the boat theme. Room clean and comfortable and bathroom facilities great.

Incredible! Absolutely gorgeous. Staff was wonderful. Extremely kind,supportive and attentive. Accommodations were unique and allowed for a totally fresh spin on a hotel stay. Offers a refreshing new experience. The bar is an asset, and open to all. Overall, it is difficult to adequately explain—must experience for yourself!

The location is wonderful, peaceful but not too far away from Edinburgh. Close to two tram stops. Our room was impressive, with great view and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Both the breakfast and location were great, it was lovely being in the cocktail bar to have breakfast, very up market, the food although continental had every thing we needed, from fresh fruit to eggs and pastries .

We were celebrating a celebration and we were given an upgrade, the staff had decorated the room and we were given drinks in the bar. Staff were absolutely brilliant. Breakfast was absolutely lovely - the bar area was great but would be fantastic and even better in the summer. Great location for exploring Leith and for catching the tram to go into Edinburgh. Highly recommended.

We loved everything. Pricing for July is very expensive compared to April which has stopped me from booking for my birthday however we will need to try and book for a cheaper time of the year.

Sayed twice and loved it on both occasions. Will 100% be back. Staff are brilliant, very helpful, breakfast was lovely. room was amazing.

Everything was just perfect. From arriving to departing. The staff are fabulous and make you feel special. The décor is to a high spec. All the little touches make it what it is. Fabulous! Worth every penny.

The toilet cistern took a long time to fill and was noisy.

Being on a boat the room was not huge. However, the en suite shower room was great. There was a great choice at the buffet breakfast. To cap it all the staff are very good. The location is very convenient for a number of restaurants and transport into Edinburgh city centre.

The room we had was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable but because it was on the waterline there was a condensation issue and a damp smell in the room. With better ventilation/dehumidifier it would have been perfect. When we stay next time I would book a different room on the upper level.

Staff were fantastic and very professional. We're greeted at reception warmly and very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The guys in the bar were brilliant and very knowledgeable.

Area for breakfast only allows a limited number of places, and you have to 'book' your breakfast hour interval. But this is understandable and the staff announced it to us. So not really a minus.

The location was well placed for us, and it was easy to jump on the main tram. I cannot emphasize this enough. We should have stayed more nights. For the same price as some central accomodations you get to sleep on a boat. Cleanliness was top notch, and everything on the ship was well put together and design wise spoke to each other. Staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast area is beautiful. The bathroom looks amazing. You will not see such tiling in real buildings.

The breakfast area was very small and people stay for hours even after finishing their breakfast. Also the people serves food are very few and were exhausted

Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice and excellent service. Local area was attracticve and clean. Plenty of eating places to choose from. Transport into Edinburgh very easy via the tram service just at end of road, The Ocean Mist was very clean and fitted to a high standard. The staff were fabulous.

It is like a home for us. They even let us check in earlier since we had a over night train and be there a few hours earlier than normal check in time. We really appreciate it.

It is a very nice place, staff were very kindly, and the room was very clear , we really enjoyed the stay.

The smell and damp Our bedrooms were a bit small just down the stairs and we saw others a lot bigger . We were in the passage and could hear all the noises
