Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe price of wine was really expensive at the bar. Would have liked to be able to order something other than pizza for dinner. Not many restaurants open on a Monday night in the area
A gem of a place in Belfast close to all sites, including the Titanic museum. We caught the bus from Glasgow and walked to hotel from bus station. From first impressions at checkin and staying everything was fabulous. They have washing machines and dryers for use by guests, a real bonus for when you are on the road for a while. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed was really comfortable had the best nights sleep in 6 weeks of travel! Room spacious and a bonus fridge and a milk bottle to take to bar to fill up. Breakfast was lovely.

United KingdomMore vegan options at breakfast would have been great.
The location was perfect, we loved everything about the hotel and our room and the staff were fantastic. It felt like coming home! We loved the decor of the hotel and the books dotted around for us to read and the art. The shower was great and the bed really comfortable. We had a wonderful greeting by Amy on reception who was so positive and friendly and went out of her way to make sure we were happy with everything! We are both neurodivergent and she understood our needs perfectly, which was so refreshing! The location was perfect, right in the middle of everything. We can't wait to visit again!

IrelandBreakfast was very expensive (almost 30 pounds) so I didn’t partake and there was no bath.
Beautiful venue which is very nicely decorated and obviously brand new. Very comfortable - I stayed for one night. The staff were very friendly and checking in and out was an easy and pleasant experience. The location was very good. It’s very central and there’s a lovely restaurant called Edo nearby which was delicious.

IrelandNothing honestly, we loved everything about and around
The hotel is lovely, well located to almost everything you would need, from food, pubs, and so much more, a home from home with a touch of modernisation, staff were great, all smiles, and helpful, and the atmosphere is homely, the rooms the kitchenette superbly suited, if I ever come to Belfast again, I have a 2nd home here, thanks to all the staff, it was a colourful experience for me and the Mrs even in one day we had a great time, parking is closeby, less than 5mins walk, most hotels around the area use this carpark, extremely cheap 6 pounds overnight parking, once again thanks to all the staff

IrelandI had originally book the sleep well bedroom which in the description on booking.com listed the kitchenette. But the room itself only has a fridge. The guys at reception very kindly upgraded us because of the mistake on the listing and it was no hassle. Also, I might be just a bit too used to my own comfort and I know the hotel has targets for eco friendliness and the clipper coffee provided was lovely but I think the rooms would really benefit from a coffee pod machine, that’s just a suggestion.
The room with the kitchenette was amazing. The decor and furniture is beautiful and all very comfortable! Really appreciate the tv having Netflix and decent channels, we’re not drinkers so we really appreciate being able to have a cozy night in! Staff were all delightful must say Nathan the manager is a gentleman and he guided us through the tea room, a really nice chap and a priceless asset to the hotel he takes such pride in his work and is very welcoming! To have an employee that enjoys what they do so much really says a lot about a place, that means you foster a good work environment and it always shows through staff! You can really feel that when you walk into the place, if the team is as warm as the team at room2.

United KingdomOur only negative is we struggled at times to get an ambient room temperature at night, we seemed to be too hot or too cold but this did not spoil our stay
