Traditional dinner menu which did not work well for the fish dish i chose . Being made to wait for our main course till other diners had finished their starters . When we didnt order one . As always with a wedding venue a feeling that all the energies of the hotel are directed elsewhere .

Beautiful ,elegant country house . Set in lovely grounds with some beautiful trees . Very comfortable rooms with arm chairs to sit in . Excellent beds and bedding . Good breakfast with nice choices .

The hotel is very focused and popular for weddings making it some times exclusive.

Not too large hotel to be in personal and not too small to lack facilities

Bathrobes could do with renewing. Sash on bathroom window in Sir Christopher Wren room is broken.

Room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Afternoon tea and breakfast were very tasty. Staff were friendly and informative.

A very minor point, but occasionally the volume of the background music in the bar/ restaurant can be a little intrusive.

I’ve stayed at St Elizabeth’s House a number of times over the past few months. I particularly like the fact it’s quiet and a little off the beaten track, but still very convenient for travelling into Plymouth (10-15 mins) On this occasion my room (De Redvers) was spacious, airy, well-appointed and with good views of the gardens. The restaurant is good, but the menu would benefit from a refresh occasionally.

Bed slight to soft (personal preference) otherwise lovely bed. Slight traffic noise on the odd occasion a vehicle went by. Otherwise kept bathroom door shut due to shower head drip.

Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere with lovely building character and comfortable stay. Spoilt for choose on either a relaxing bath of shower, good consistent water temperate.
