Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaAbsolutely beautiful villas, so quiet and hidden away for a quiet getaway. Breakfast was cooked fresh and consisted of toast, eggs, Sausage, bacon, tomato, mushrooms, fresh fruit, watermelon juice and tea or coffee. We used Gojek and Grab for lunch and dinner which was really easy and arrived quickly. We also walked to a small store down the road for bottled water. We did order transport to the airport through the villa which was more expensive than organising a driver or using one of the above apps. The location is about 1.5 hours from the airport but we were up that way for a wedding so didn't mind, and it was extra quiet and peaceful being out of the main tourist areas. The villa was very clean and no bugs inside the room, the private plunge pool was lovely and the outside area was nice and private and well maintained. The semi-outdoor bathroom was a nice tropical touch.

AustraliaIt's a bit remote, in a small village - a plus and a minus I guess. Meals, apart from breakfast, had to be via Grab or Gojek, unless you have your own vehicle to venture forth with. Room didn't have a kitchenette for prepping anything. All part of the adventure though!
Such an amazing, beautiful property - I couldn't stop taking photos! The jungle gardens are incredible. Lovely private villa with pool, but also the opportunity to socialise over breakfast by the main pool, including with the friendly resident kitten. Staff are wonderful - attentive without being intrusive, and seem to really appreciate each other and their work - like a happy family!

AustraliaNothing really comes to mind but I would say we were a little confused by the food situation at first. As we were there during the low session they didn't have their kitchen open for lunch/dinner and the staff recommended we use food delivery apps such as Grab and GoJek. At first we were hesitant but when we gave it a go we were really pleasantly surprised, we ended up have some of the tastiest meals we'd had Bali and for way cheaper than we were paying in restaurants. Essentially it was like getting room service but from whatever restaurant we wanted.
The grounds and property itself were exceptionally beautiful and the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. We couldn't get over just how beautiful and luxurious it was for such a low price. Keep in mind that it's located in a quiet, secluded suburb, but if (like us) you're looking to get away from the busy touristy areas on Bali then we'd definitely recommend staying here.

NetherlandsIt is not that we didn't not like this but I think it's handy to know that from the entrance you'll have to walk 62 steps down (so also up) to get to the lobby/check in. In our booking it says under the subject facilities: Kitchenette ( There is no kitchenette in our room) I asked them via whats app but we did not get an answer. Desk also not there. Electrical kettle also not there. Bidet also not there. We found the safe under the tv. So maybe update the facilities for the one bedroom villa's. Or do you have rooms with these facilities? Towel rack in the bathroom would be nice. There is no where to hang them. Rate 7,5/10
Loving the Balinese style of jungle resort. Enjoyed breakfast with jungle and pool view. Everyday they clean your room and refresh your towels. when you out and about and come back a.c and your bedroom lights will be on. Miss chica is just a very happy lovey lady. We loved her so much. She just brightened up your day. They don't have pictures of the private pool in booking but it's approximately 2 meters long and 180 wide.

United Kingdomslightly difficult to find on google maps. But a wonderful surprise when you do find it.
Absolutley stunning large spotlessly clean rooms, with gorgeous outdoor shower which was hot and powerful. A lovely egg shaped bath which was deep and big enough for two. Great toiletries. Breakfast was divine and made to order. Swimming pool in our villa was lovely and our room overlooked the river. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Really Romantic villa with Netflix. We had hired a scooter but we didnt want to ride it when it rained. Because we had dinner reservations, we were trying to get a taxi when who we thought was the driver for the resort offered to give us a ride to the restaurant, on conversing with the driver it turned out he was the owner of the hotel! You couldnt meet a more humble, articulate, intelligent and generous individual! He refused payment on a number of occassions and genuinly just wanted us to have a wonderful time at his hotel which we did. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

MaltaIf there is anything negative is perhaps the distance to main evening areas like canggu, which made getting a taxi in the evenings a bit challenging. But we always managed in the end so it was fine.
This property is a little slice of heaven. it’s absolutely beautiful. the staff are super nice and helpful. Mr Madi and Mrs Tika made our stay very special. we had the villa with private pool and it was amazing. You get in touch with nature as the property is a retreat, all you hear is the sounds of birds, frogs and other forest creatures but it’s very calming. Every morning we had breakfast brought to us in our villa by Tika while Madi was always ready and available to take us on daily excursion of our choice. You just need a good mosquito repellent and you’re good to go. This place is a hidden Gem. I absolutely loved every second staying there. I miss it already!

United KingdomOkay, so it’s fairly remote….you do need transportation or a taxi to get anywhere. You’re around 15-20 minutes from Canguu. But it’s worth sacrificing, as this place is wonderful and there are no other sounds than nature itself.
At first I wasn’t going to write a review because I selfishly wanted to keep this place all to myself. The property was absolutely stunning. It’s a hidden gem. The staff are lovely (especially the staff manager Made). They have a girl that comes to the retreat if you want a massage (and she’s the best masseuse I’ve ever had)!

AustraliaFood, beverage availability. I couldn't purchase any drinks, ie cold, juice, cocktail etc or any food. Given the price, I feel this restricted my ability to enjoy this property.
Breakfast was fine. No menu but quality was good. Location was interesting. I wasn't advised of the very long stairs to get to the room but glad there was assistance at the time as I don't think I could have carried my heavy suitcase down and then up. There was only one couple at the hotel for one of the two nights. To be honest I felt the property quite isolating and a bit scary in the evening, knowing one night I was there alone. I was woken both nights by the birds, roosters at 2-4am but this is part of the experience and respect it. Given there was no 'local' cafe/market and no food available at the resort (other than the breakfast that was provided), I had to use Gojek for food orders (like UberEats). Gojek is very good and easy to use so an easy work around. I am pleased I had a driver for the 2 days as it is not walking distance to anything. If you like a feeling of remoteness, peacefulness and have a driver then all good. This was the most expensive of my accommodations in Bali and I found value for money just not there. Nice property, perhaps just not for me travelling alone. The region is truly orginal Bali which I appreciated.

YemenThe insects and mosquitos are extremely annoying. There is no coffee machine in the room. Limited options of breakfast. The real issue is the sounds and noises that are made by stray dogs nearby, barking all night long, before the roosters start their shifts at 4:30am. So, sleeping is a big issue here. Otherwise, it is a brilliant stay.
The resort was charming, surrounded by natural beauty. It gives a feeling of staying in the great wilderness. The sound of birds and animals around makes it so special. Staff were amazing, very friendly, welcoming, helpful, and professionals led by a great manager, Mr. Made. Resort facilities were nice, including the private pool and the other pool. The toilet, shower place is a new nice experience. Overall, the place is a special, unforgotgable experience.

Switzerlandit is far from any point of interest, 30 min drive from Canggu. No restaurant in the surrounding nor in the hotel. the advertisement on booking is miss leading, there are no drive included in the booking price - everything is extra charged and it is not transparently explained upfront. we unfortunately discovered when leaving that we had to pay more. the breakfast is basic. and our shower was not running, we had to request support several times to have it fixed.
the place is calm, peaceful and surrounded by nature. people running it are nice and friendly.
