Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

The hotel was easy to deal with the whole way through. Clear communications with English speaking clients. The well-being facility was excellent for just relaxing. No problems in booking. The location is excellent in the Monti area, near the train station, but away from the bustle of there. Within walking distance of the attractions and great selection of restaurants within the area. If you are interested in shopping you are near Via Nationale for a great selection of shopping. Staff were helpful in any requests we had.

They have changed our room because of the noise from builders and did not charged us extra. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

HungaryOur room wasn't in the main hotel building, but on the other side of the the street (which we didn't know in advance) and the whole building was under construction..one morning we woke up to the noise of the drilling and the workers could look into the room from their stand. The main building was very modern, clean, but this other one was an old building, the full rubbish bins were smelling for five days in the staircase...Most of the time we were out in the city, but anyways these circumstances are not appropriate for a four star hotel.
The location is very good, most sights are in a 15-20min walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable, we got fresh towels every day, the men at the reception were kind and helpful. We could choose to have breakfast for 15eur, which was various and tasty.

FranceIn the breakfast room, it is not easy to clean our hands and for me it is very important. I think bathroom for women was closed and there wasn't hydroalcoholic gel. Spa access for resident who don't sleep in the main building : we need to wear close and shoes and for there is not enough room to store and secure our belongings. It is not practical and not very clean.

IrelandThe room seemed to have been not used for a long time with a musty smell at the start of our stay (we were staying in the rooms across the road from the main hotel). The cleaning staff were excellent and noticed the parts that were previously missed on the first morning of our stay and were extremely professional and polite. There was a smell coming from the bar during breakfast which was unpleasant however we only noticed this on the last morning when we were seated near the bar area. I feel that there could have been a staff member greeting guests at the top of the stairs to explain the breakfast setup to guests and to verify the room number. I was slightly difficult to differentiate who the staff were on the first morning.
The room was a good size and very well situated for exploring Rome. Although the main attractions were a small bit of a walk, the area was quiet and had great restaurants and casual bars nearby which served excellent food. The breakfast was a good spread with a lot of selection to set you up for the day.

United KingdomThe spa had to be booked which is fair, however when we booked there was also another person in there and their kid was running around making a lot of noise, which meant it wasn't a very relaxing experience. also the sauna wasn't very hot and the steam room wasn't working.

Room was impeccable cleaned and breakfast was well worth it. Spa and pool were a great too, very clean and as you had to book a slot it wasn’t overly busy . The area itself was great lots of good restaurants near by and interesting shops. Would definitely use this hotel if visiting again
