How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Lack of window in private room and fan instead of air con, but was a budget private room
The lady at reception is super helpful, the tour booked via the hostel was so good and informative. Really nice social element for solo travellers, they have great facilities water, kitchen, pool table, books and games. Close to everything and excellent value for money restaurants/ food stalls Hostel was be very clean and tidy

We really liked our room as well as it was comfy and very clean. However, one minus point was that the balcony door did not close properly. Therefore, it was quite noisy in the early morning due to the traffic on the road right underneath the balcony.
The location was amazing and the staff was very welcoming and helpful to organize tours and everything else we needed help with.

Room with private bathroom was great. There was no airconditioning, but because of the fan it wasn’t too hot. Clean room/bathroom and friendly staff

The TV didn't work. On the other side of the street there is a parking for busses and they usually don't turn off their engines, so it is quite loud sometimes even with windows closed. But in general we enjoyed our stay there a lot.
The hostel has a kitchen which we could use and also refillable water. Our room hat a nice small balcony, with a nice view. Very central, close to many restaurants.

Our private room was very clean and comfy, we were really happy with our stay. The common space was super cute, looking over the main street and a mountain view. We took full advantage of the pool table as well. Best of all, the staff was really kind and gave helpful advice for making the most of our stay.

Loved staying here! Very good value for money and the lady on reception was so nice and welcoming! Great for giving tips about what to do and where to eat. Great location to walk into town and the night markets.

tv cannot be turned on in room 207.
The place was very clean. We needed to put our shoes in the shoe rack. The toilet is small but I'm okay, the heater was okay. close to Bazar Ramadan tanah rata. balcony was great. The pantry also had enough facilities. easy parking too

We really enjoyed our stay at Bricks. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hostel is in a great location, walking distance from the bus station and the main street. The staff were really helpful and provide extra information on treks.

The balcony door wasn't closing perfectly so it was quite noisy.
It was a very good location, ideal for jungle trekking. The room was clean with all the toiletries.

The room itself was crazily small. It was hard for us to fit the two backpacks in the room.
Everything was newly renovated. In the night it was very quiet. The staff was great. Basic kitchenette.

Great Hostel in Cameron highlands, very clean and quiet. Very convenient having the kitchen on each floor so we could use the fridge etc. highly recommend!

Common area could be a bit bigger. But there is a pool table!

Such a pleasant stay in this peaceful hostel right in the centre of Tanah Rata town, the best starting point to visit Cameron Highlands. Everything is sparking clean and well organized in the hostel, there is free water dispenser and local tea available :) relaxing common area with a view over the town and billiard. The lady at the reception is kind and helpful.

I absolutely loved my stay here, warm welcome and offered a great tour to the BOH tea plantation! It felt super clean and all the staff were an absolute delight. Ideal location too :) I miss it already!!
