Location is unbeatable, the kitchen view is unreal and the lobby is quite comfortable. Room was a but small but the bed was comfortable and clean.

Kitchen got a little busy at peak hours and was hard to navigate with everyone/big families cooking at once.

Rooms are a bit dated and smelled musty. There is only one common bathroom, which is mixed, and it’s on level one. Rooms have en suites, but they have sliding doors, so there is zero privacy. Bunks are not made for tall people - I’m only 170cm/5’7” and couldn’t stretch out properly. !! They don’t change the doona covers; instead, you get a flat sheet to use between yourself and the doona. I know it’s a lot of work to change them every time, but it should be done. Those doonas are _dirty_ (I was in the room when the housekeepers came and saw them making the beds twice without changing them.) !! This is probably a great hostel if it’s your first one in NZ, but I’m comparing it to other places where I’ve stayed and I was honestly a bit disappointed. It is also quite expensive, but oh well – QT is expensive.

The location is probably the best thing about this hostel, and there’s a nice view of the mountains from the kitchen. Beds were comfy and I liked the curtain which gives you a lil privacy. Staff was lovely and helpful.

The hostel is central, so as much as this is great when finding things to do, there is a lot of noise. This wasn't too much of an issues as things tend to quieten down after 11pm. The top bunks of the dorm aren't the most comfortable.

The hostel is super clean and the facilities are brilliant. The kitchen is great, has everything you need and the views are stunning! The staff keep everything organised and it was always clean. I can't put in to words how awesome the staff are. You feel like part of a family when you stay here and we made some amazing friends and memories!

The best hostel I've ever stayed! :) I'm a solo traveler and stayed in different hostels in different countries all around the world. This one I could range as exceeded my expectations! It is located in the city centre, near the beautiful Wakatipu lake, so all attractions, shops, restaurants & bars are reachable in a few minutes. I stayed in a dormain room and shared it with other 3 guests, the most nicest thing was that the room was large with shelves and hangers to put your own stuff and we had our own shower room. Fantastic! Very large kitchen/dinning room with a spectacular view to the lake, just a good vibe to drink your coffee and enjoy the view. The staff were very kind and helpful. The hostel suggests many services including tours, usage of washing/drying machines and etc. Highly recommended!

- Games room downstairs is quite odorous. Made it hard to wait there hoping to run into someone - The lounge area is built into the entrance and lobby, so maybe not the most comfortable area to socialise - Very little space within the showers to store toiletries

- Great facilities, very clean - Good privacy with curtains in dorm rooms - WiFi was excellent - Provided a free starter NZ sim with 100MB of data - Location was unbeatable

Amazing location on the water. Rooms cleaned daily. Loved the 4 bed dorm with ensuite. Very relaxed, great range of travellers. Nice kitchen.

Kitchen is way too small for the amount of people of the hostel, so cooking is a bit of an adventure. Not much room in the fridge or on the shelves. I unfortunately has the bedroom by the kitchen so I was living with door slams 24/24
