The accommodation is in a great location close to the city and easy to walk anywhere so renting a car wasn't necessary. The owner/manager is wonderful and is very hospitable. I highly recommend staying here as the room was very cosy and had everything you would need for a short or even long stay in dunedin.

Driveway was a bit steep with turns, but I got used to it very quickly.

Interior has a lot of character. Room was more modern, very clean, very quiet. I can imagine the other rooms would have a great view. I was in a single with a ktchenette. No fuss check in and checkout. Loved having to walk up the hill getting my exercise in, after walking down to the mall and the Octagon.

- if you have no car getting to the hostel with your luggage is quite a challenge as way up is very steep - no heating in kitchen or bathrooms, so you have to freeze when it gets cooler outsider

- very exquisite hostel in a lovely building - great view on Dunedin - quiet - well equipped and large rooms & kitchen - new / modern furniture and interior - nice and friendly staff - easy and flexible check in

There wasn't much space to eat in the kitchen and unfortunately there wasn't a lounge, which would have been nice. The driveway up to the house was very steep and rather daunting, but apart from that it was a great place!

This is a lovely big old house that works well as a more 'adult' hostel. It is very spacious, bright and calm, with lots of lovely showers and toilets. The kitchen is well equipped and the staff are very friendly and helpful

It is on top of a hill, so be mindful of the baggage you have or have your transport be dropped off at the top of the ramp! Unless you have your own car, make use of the free parking they provide.

The rooms were cozy and spacious! The facilities such as the kitchen had all the pots and pans and cutleries for you to use to cook with. Showers and toilets were all very clean.

Close to city centre with a great view. It would be worth telling people that to open the front door it needs to be pushed while entering the code. I got there in the end!

Nothing I didn't like.

Place was very clean and tidy. Bed comfy. I had a room with shared bathroom facilities and had no problems accessing when i wanted. There's lots of toilet and shower facilities to choose from and they are modern. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate you. The place was so much more than I expected. What a beautiful old huilding that's being lovingly kept. Breakfast was a bonus I didn't expect. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. So close to everything.

Short but steep walk up to cargill st from the city but didn't bother us personally as we enjoy walking. The pillows in our room were either too big or too thin

We had no problems during our stay.

We were in room 7 and it was very quiet, well set up in regards to furniture, the quality of the bedding and access to facilities. Breakfast being included was a bonus. The kitchen was well stocked and very clean for a shared facility. Given that we were there for seven nights, I liked having access to a change of towels and thought that it was a nice touch to have a spare roll of toilet paper in the room (not that it was needed - the bathrooms were serviced every day).

You should remember that you have to walk up a steep hill to get to the place. But it's worth it.

Quiet place, own fridge with freezer in my room, own kettle and microwave and some plates and cutlery. Desk in the room, WiFi worked very well, washing machine for free and dryer for 1$. I loved it here!

Toilets, showers and the kitchen were super clean! They offer towels as well. In the kitchen you have avaiable oil salt so you can cook! or even cereals! I found that great! Personnel was very kind and nice.
