We purposefully went there to do the Rainforest Skywalk which was a total waste of money. The free walks were far better especially Cedar Creek Falls which was incredible. The Gallery walk was unexpectedly good with interesting handcrafts and the most amazing Cuckoo Clock Shop.
I also loved the free bird feeding at Thunderbird Park daily 2pm

Met friends for lunch at St Bernards Hotel - No Aircon where we were seated but the view was great. Had not been for about 20 years, so great to see the St Bernards were still an icon here.
Dining was a pleasure - great menu and we all found a favourite dish to try. Tried a local Rose and thoroughly enjoyed.
Fox and Hound is a great pub for an authentic English and Irish Menu, don't forget the Guinness.
Plenty to see and do, take a couple of days to explore the area.

The boutique shopping was great!
The boutique shopping was great! People were very friendly and the food was lovely! We had a coffee and a pastry from one of the boutique bakery/cafes and it was really tasty. We had a counter meal at the North tamborine bowls club and the staff there were very friendly. The experience of exploring the area was well worth the trip....

Mt Tamborine is a wonderful destination.
Mt Tamborine is a wonderful destination. The walks and the views are amazing. The area is brimming with wildlife and beautiful nature walks; there is a zipline through the treetops! There was even a peacock that seems to have made the garden at the Mount Tamborine Motel its home.
The meals and service at St Bernard's Restaurant were very good and breakfast at Coffee Plantation was excellent.
It's a wonderful destination for a romantic weekend or a leisurely holiday.

Lovely place to visit with some spectacular walks and scenery.
We were there for 3 nights and 4 days and felt that was enough.
A must do is watch the sunset from the hang glider launch / lookout, its stunning.
The gallery walk is a bit of fun with lots of quirky shops and some nice places to eat, not many galleries though.
Leaf Japanese restaurant is nice for dinner, its small so you might need to book, also lunch at the Cedar Creek Winery and Masons Winery are great with beautiful views. Fun day is at the Cauldron Distillery on the lawns with a gin or two, and the Witches Chase Cheese Shop and Fortitude Brewery was nice for a cheese plate with some great live music. Don't forget the Promenade Near Curtis Falls walk for lunch breakfast or an afternoon drink - its like walking into a little slice of Italy. Picnic is great for morning tea, and we intended to get back to try Wolf but didn't get there, it looked really nice with a creative menu.
Some great walking tracks around the place, and the Botanic gardens are beautiful, glow worm cave and skywalk are also great to visit especially if you have kids.

A delightful area with many bush walks and waterfall walks.
A delightful area with many bush walks and waterfall walks. Spice of Life cafe, the Local Codfather, Birchgrove Nursery & Coffee shop, Canungra Hotel, St Bernard’s Hotel. It’s easy to find your way driving around Tamborine and walking.
They have a number of good markets in the area. There are a few shops in Southport Street to visit as well.
The weather is quite temperate so it’s very pleasant.

The staff and facilities were excellent considering a tornado had ripped apart Mount Tamborine in the previous week and the whole area was a disaster. One cabin still had a large tree on top of it and many others trees had fallen. To have the retreat operating the way it was is a fantastic effort by all involved. We didn't cancel as many had as we wanted to support the people and business. The room and facilities were excellent and the rain forrest amazing in spite of all the problems. We really enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful surrounding area, including a tropical view of the backyard! It's the little touches; Spa bath inc bubbles for the bath, tea and coffee with mini fridge where you can store that bottle of wine you got from the surrounding binaries. Don't worry, there is wine glasses as well! Fantastic for a romantic night or two- No kids allowed - just the sound of the water cascading down the rocks in the river next to the hotel as you fall asleep.
Amazing location and an enormous, gorgeous house that could fit our whole family. We were worried with so many family members that the bathroom/toilets may have been an issue, but there were plenty of facilities to cope with us all!! The house was airconditioned, but also had a terrific fireplace, lounge area and dining area to sit around and chatter. Lots of scenic places to visit or just lounge around in the home.
This is our third stay in the motel. We like the location next to St Bernards for their Christmas in July dinners and also the closeness to the golf course. The view of the gardens and valley is beautiful and can be enjoyed from the privacy of your own room. Room was clean, bed comfortable and they provide tea and coffee making facilities plus bowls, plates, cutlery and a toaster for self catered breakfasts.
My partner and I loved absolutely everything about this cottage stay! The host really made the experience incredible for us! The location was perfect, nice and secluded in nature, but not far at all from the wonders of Mount Tamborine. We loved hearing all of the beautiful birds and relaxing in the homely, calm and beautiful cottage!
I loved the hotel, the grounds, parking was easy, Gary and Natalie were absolutely lovely! Loved how green everything was, made me feel so warm and happy. I loved the tables outside the bedrooms, I loved that is was very close to everything and I loved that they had little tiny jars of bath salts for a bath.
incredible B&B, the attention to detail in the rooms is highly appreciated, all the things you need and even what you didn’t think you would (and you won’t find in a hotel). The view, the property and the incredible breakfast made it a trip to remember! The hosts are real, friendly and inspirational.
Great location, extremely friendly hosts. The perfect mix between a hotel and B&B in my opinion. Highly recommend for a stay if you’re in the area for a wedding. I would recommend the King Suite if it’s available for your dates - massive spa bath and faces outwards to the garden.
Thanks Helen and Peter..what a gem find Mountain Sanctuary is on Mount Tamborine. Stepping through the front door, I automatically felt so welcomed! Relaxing spaces, beautiful grounds surrounded by nature, and perfect breakfast.
It was a lovely old hotel but comfortable & clean .
We had a family room with bunks . It was great to have a restaurant attached for food & drinks .
The breakfast was delicious & it had a great playground for the kids.
The villa was very homely and comfortable. We felt instantly at home. It was beautifully decorated and warm. We were provided with a selection of luxury tea and coffee, plus juice, milk and a fresh loaf of bread.
Loved staying here and would certainly go back again. It was peaceful, relaxing and the cottage was absolutely lovely. Not a single issue and would highly recommend for accommodation at Mount Tamborine.
It was a cute cottage about a 5 minute drive from town which was convenient to pop to via car. The fireplace was a great comfort in the cold and the bird seed left was a fun activity!
