The Bruce was among the best hotel experiences we have had anywhere in the world. Every single staff member was welcoming. Every possible consideration had been given to ensure guest comfort. I especially appreciated having coffee on our balcony. The restaurant food quality was excellent. We recommend the Bruce most highly.

This establishment was incredible. The hosts were kind, generous and friendly, and their attention to detail and expertise in the hospitality and culinary industries show. Cute and modern rooms with all the amenities, fabulous breakfast, and even a hot tub, within a short walking distance to theatres, shopping and dining, made this B&B an excellent choice.

A pleasant small town even in winter with enjoyable seasonal lights along the river and downtown. A relaxed friendly atmosphere in all the stores and restaurants/cafes we visited. Interesting older buildings in some of the local neighbourhoods.

Stratford isn't just about the theatre from April to October, far from it ! Lots of things to do and see such as 2 symphony orchestras, the choir and the Chef school is a great place to dine from October to March.

Lively town with the Theater Festival being the main driver of activity. The THe Theater Festival is world class and always worth a visit if in the vicinity. Lots of coffee shops, restaurant to service a knowledgeable clientele. Lots of hotels, B&B in the area.

I liked Stratford Festival, itself, friendly staff, gardens around, and naturally I greatly enjoyed shows. I liked little place, called Soup Surreal, very cozy, Stratford Thai Cuisine, and Bowl something, sorry, can not remember now. I travelled easy all across town with city bus, drivers very friendly and helpful. I do not think of anything, I would avoid.JozefCanada - 10Scored 10
Always a great visit.
Always a great visit. We go almost every year and see two plays each time and have yet to be disappointed. Stratford is great place to relax, have good food and quite evenings. Don't miss the Stratford Perth Museum, a great learning experience about Stratford! If you have a bit of extra time visit Saint Marys. And, if you like Indian cuisine don't miss Raja Fine Indian Cuisine.PaulaUnited States

The beds are so comfortable and the bathroom is amazing and huge! We loved sitting out on the patio enjoying the garden. Philip was very helpful with dinner plans and answering our questions. Looking out and seeing the river was great to wake up to. It was a conveniently short walk to lots of cafes and restaurants and shops, yet still quiet enough for us. I found it very affordable for what we got, and checkin instructions were very thorough and helped alot. Parking was made convenient and wasn't overpriced in my opinion. (Some hotels charge like $30 a day or add it into the fee).AngelCanada

Breakfast is a delight with perfectly cooked Western Omlette and home fries. The room was large and had both air conditioning and a window that levered open at the top. Both rooms were very well appointed, clean, and the concierge both times were attentive and helpful. The location is not right down town but an easy walk. Stratford is a lovely place to visit, and walking the residential areas was very pleasant, with many lovely gardens. Of course, we came to see plays/musicals, and they are excellent.

We loved having the kitchenette since being frugal vegetarians it doesn't work to have all meals in restaurants (though there is a gourmet vegetarian restaurant a block away). We enjoyed being a block from the Avon Theatre and in the midst of historic Stratford.
