Perfect stay in Provence (4th time in Hotel l'Amandiere for me). Comfortable rooms, very good breakfast, easy to reach both by car and walking (Saint-Rémy-de-Provence). Big bonus - charming cat neighbour😁

Great location, very close to the centre of St Remy but very very quiet. Didn’t really feel like a hotel, more like a bed and breakfast. No communal areas such as a bar appeared to be open when we were there (October). Room was comfortable although furnishings were quite sparse …shabby chic.

Saint Remy de Provence is a lovely and interesting village with a Van Gough connection they are clearly proud of. There are many other interesting places within a 45-minute drive and it is a beautiful area to visit.

We loved the availability of good restaurants and a large supermarket not far from the town centre. We enjoyed the history of the area (Roman and Art) and the natural features of the surrounding areas of Provence.

We only stayed for 4 nights, it was not enough, wish it could have been a couple of weeks. The area is beautiful and tranquil, felt so relaxed there, yet there is also so much to do. Although only a short stay we took a boat trip in the Carmague (from St Marie sur Mer) stopped at Arles to see the Coliseum, visited Pont Gard, walked on the bridge at Avignon, followed the Van Gogh trail and explored Glanum. On our way back to Nice we stopped at Aix. Good food and wine was always close by and the people we met most friendly. Would love to return one day.

St.Remy is the kind of town that you fall in love with. There are so many restaurants to choose from and all of them are really good. The people of St.Remy are friendly and helpful and for the shoppers there is something different for everyone in the beautiful little streets of St.Remy.
The walk-about tour of Vincent van Gogh is lovely to experience.

St Remy is a gorgeous village in Provence, with lots of little lanes to get lost in and plenty of lovely shops and restaurants to visit and keep you entertained. A must on a visit is the free walking tour of the sights that inspired van Gogh which finishes at Saint-Paul Asylum - where he self-admitted himself. It is also a great place from which to explore the surrounding countryside and villages

Market day was fabulous, and restaurants though a couple of restaurants wouldnt allow us to share meals, being older people our appetities are smaller and while if they were full could understand but when restaurant not even half full felt that was being a bit precious. Otherwise people friendly and helpful, our hotel "Melody" were very helpful and welcoming. Loved the small viiages up in the hills we visited
People driving though should be more considerate and stop tail gating please.

The hotels meets expectations.
Tiny rooms are furnitured from everything they could collect around and very noisy. The bathroom and toilet are inconvenient. But the people working there are marvelous, the breakfast is tasty ant the lobby interior is inventive. All together make a feeling of real French hotel as it was 40 years ago. The hotel is surrounded by numerous bars and restaurants, where people are just sitting and enjoying the life. You can do it as well. It is priceless.
Wonderful grounds. We were in a small courtyard surrounded by small privacy bushes adjacent to the pool. Flowers were great. The best part is that you are literally across the street from the asylum where Vincent stayed for a year. Just a few more paces is the Roman ruins archeological site for which the Hotel takes its name. The world renown town of St. Remy is just about 10 to 15 minutes north by foot. The rooms were well appointed and bathrooms very sufficient.
The hotel is in an excellent location, a few minutes walking distance to the middle of town. The exterior of the hotel is very pretty and there is a nice outside dining area where we ate breakfast when the sun was shining. The breakfast was great, we thought it was a bit expensive (€14 pp) but there was so much food and a great variety so definitely good value for money. The pool was cold but refreshing. The hosts were very friendly.
What I wanted from a hotel in Provence. Beautiful shady areas to relax. Room exceptionally clean ( as were all areas of the hotel) and had everything needed- especially a good hair dryer. Breakfasts were very French - delicious baguettes, pastries, cheese and meat, and you could ask for freshly cooked scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes and crepes if you wanted. Location excellent.
The hotel is an older style with a sense of warmth and style set in pleasant grounds.
There is an onsite but detached restaurant available for breakfast or dinner although we did not take either.
Pleasant lounge area adjacent to check-in.
The room and bathroom were of very good standard.
Ample onsite free parking.
This hotel was adorable, clean and well equipped. Our room was small, but very well thought out. The staff was lovely. The outside pool area was tranquil and we enjoyed having an evening drink in that area. The breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Breakfast was fine...good coffee! Overall a very peaceful and tranquil stay which all of the staying guests respected. The Hotel itself is well maintained, clean and also very friendly, helpful staff. We couldn't be more grateful for an amazing holiday break. Thank you :)
Olivier was an exceptional host. He was extremely help to assure our stay was enjoyable, including the navigation and parking in the old town area. Your room was not just a place to sleep but an art gallery located in the heart of the pedestrian only, old town.
This review actually relates to sister hotel, Domaine de Valmouriane, where we stayed instead due to a late agreed change.
Domaine de Valmouriane is a beautiful hotel backed by friendly staff and a phenomenal restaurant on site. Property is new and very clean.
Very cute accommodation near St.Remy and friendly staff. Has a pool that because of lack of time we weren´t able to enjoy it but looked very nice! Perfect recommendations for dinner, we ended up in Saveurs de Provence, very recommended, family-owned restaurant.
A beautifully renovated estate just outside st. remy. Breakfast and dinner were amazing, the rooms were classic and comfortable. The team running the hotel were extremely friendly, very helpful and pleasant to talk to.
Beautiful home near St. Remy and hiking trails. Spacious, clean, decorated well and close to neighboring villages. Alice, the host was pleasant, communicative and helpful.
The location in the lovely village of St. Remy was outstanding - close to some good restaurants, bakeries and coffee. Also, the room was clean and tastefully decorated.
