There is nothing negative that I can say about the Headland Hotel. Superb location. Single room with sea views. A comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean bathroom. The facilities of the room fulfilled all my requirements. Staff were pleasant, friendly and looked after us well. I hope to return again in the future. A perfect stay for me and my family.

Torquay is a delicious, relaxing coastal city where you have the docks or the beach to enjoy sunshine. I was at the end of May and it didn't rain although the sun was missing at moments.
Guesthouses are a good option for accomodation.
There's places near the Visitor Centre and in front of the docks to buy souvenirs.
If you need to use the buses, and ask information to the drivers, be careful since some of them don't seem very eager to help you. The reality is you could walk easily along the beach and wouldn't need the buses.

A lovely place and a great area. You can travel very easily from Torquay to rest of Torbay - especially Paignton and Brixham. Also Dartmouth is great and Dartmoor is also very close.

The harbour area and beachfront are great for relaxing and walking to Babbacombe and Cockington village and also to Paignton. There were also lots of buses as an alternative. Views are fantastic from the front. Torquay town is typical of most towns these days and has a few people sleeping rough. Just a few shops not found elsewhere.

Torquay is a faded gem.
Torquay is a faded gem. Sadly the area lost the many well-paid jobs in technology which, coupled with the loss of domestic holidays to the mediterranean resorts, cost it dear. The area is now run-down, but there are many attractions still available. It's well worth a visit (I would say that, I lived there for ten years and enjoyed it greatly), as it's a unique corner of the UK!

My mum and I came to visit for a mini break this weekend, we like to come & visit if we can every year.
Trecarn hotel is not far to visit neighbouring areas such as Torquay, mead foot beach and Paignton, the hotel rooms are basic but have everything you need for a comfortable nights sleep, the bath & shower was brilliant, our room was nice & clean and hotel staff were all lovely, thank you 😊
We had a lovely time

Great place to stay in Torquay. Close to the sea/harbour and the room we stayed had a sea view. The hotel is next to a bus stop which is very convenient. Good breakfast too. The hosts were extremely warm and welcoming. They maintain the place very well. Overall a pleasant stay at Hotel Hudson.
The Hotel is managed by Larna who is exceptional and ensures you have a comfortable stay. Larna not only prepares the rooms to a high level of cleanliness but she also provides one of the best breakfast's in Torquay. Best described as a boutique Hotel, we really enjoyed our stay.
Hotel was spotless facilities excellent and the room was spotless too excellent shower.great for parking and the location was about a 3 minutes from the harbor and bars and 5 minutes to the town centre. The owners were very nice and pleasant. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Really good location plenlty of parking spaces near to the hotel, short walk to the centre/Harbour, Liz was very welcoming the hotel was lovely and clean with a really nice breakfast we will be definitely return next time we come to Torquay.
I only needed somewhere for a one nights stay, and found the hotel staff , helpful . It is somewhere I would recommend not just for one overnight stay, but very good for longer periods. I will definitely return any time I am in Torquay
This is a lovely upscale hotel in a convenient location. So easy to walk down to the water and all the activities. We had free parking in their own lot. The breakfasts were lovely, and having a drink on the front patio was very pleasant.
Excellent staff and great hotel with only a short walk to Torquay town centre. I lost a necklace in the room and the staff went above and beyond to get it back to me . I highly recommend this hotel to take a relaxing break
The place exceeded our expectations in every way. the host was very welcoming, the room was adorably cute and super clean, and the hotel helped us with all our queries. great little thought of amenities throughout.
The hotel is right on the sea front & you can catch buses to torquay & paignton if you dont want to drive. The hotel itself is under going renovations and what they have achieved so far is fabulous.
Not one single thing - checked in and checked out 20 mins later. Unclean, unsafe, dirty, rude staff appalling disgusting this chain needs to address this hotel and how it is run immediately
Room was clean and tidy, tastefully decorated and bed was comfy. Very handy for Torquay central seafront. Parking was good with larger than average spaces and plenty of room to get in.
The view and access to the sea had to be the best value for money with location and views won us over for the cheapest avaliable hotel at the time we were over impressed with it a*
