First time staying at The Crowne Plaza Saint John, and I loved it! Modern, nice views from my room. I loved the pool, and gym. I also ate at the attached restaurant, and the food was so delicious, my recommendation is the turkey dinner. Don't hesitate to book at the Crowne Plaza Saint John! My stay was wonderful.

We took the ferry as foot passengers from Digby.

We took the ferry as foot passengers from Digby. There is a good taxi service from the ferry terminal. St John offers interesting walks (the reversing rapids is a good day trip on foot), a buzzing nightlife. It's an industrial city with interesting old buildings. Unfortunately the museum is closed indefinitely - hopefully that will be resolved.

It is a beautiful and interesting city.

It is a beautiful and interesting city. We didn't have time to explore much in the city, as we spent more time exploring along the coast. We enjoyed visiting the sea caves, the Bay of Fundy Trail, and the Reversing Falls.

It is a nice town with a lot of history.

It is a nice town with a lot of history. There are some nice places to walk along the water and the reversing falls are cool (best to have a car to visit since you have to go twice a day to get the full effect) We went to two nice restaurants when we were there, and we enjoyed wandering around the container village, the market. Billy's seafood was really good. There is a bit of a homelessness issue. There are many people who are homeless who seem to mill around the city. We had a number of people yell at us as we walked and it was not pleasant.

The microbrewery/pubs were great. The downtown area is interesting. It is an industrial city. We went to the reversing falls. The center is across the street from the Irving Pulp and Paper factory. A bit disappointing.

clean, bright and spacious room, and very helpful staff. We had intended to take a ferry from Digby to Saint John but was told the day before that the ferry was cancelled. So we decided to drive all the way from Digby to Saint John. When we got to Truro we were too exhausted to drive on. We called the hotel requesting one night cancellation. We were very grateful that the lady on the other end of the line was very compassionate and didn’t charge us any cancellation fees, which we were more than willing to pay…

We were just in Saint John for the night and the location of this hotel couldn’t be beat. A super close walk to a few restaurants right along the harbour shore, and we woke up to a cruise ship docked in the harbour so that was pretty cool. The beds were very comfortable, we had a great nights sleep. Very special shout out to the cleaning lady who overheard that I forgot something in our room after we checked out and was on our way to the parking garage and went up to grab it for me, thank you so much!

The location was great! There is a sitting area in the grass outsde the hotel which allowed us to have our coffee in fresh summer air. The Breakfast is a hot breakfast with everything you could want. The facilities were all clean. We even did laundry and that went well as well. It is across the street from Walmart, Marshalls, Dollarama and the most concentrated place with restaurants. and Coffee. You can also open a part of the window for fresh air. Staff was great and helpful.

Exceptional and amiable owner and staff (Brian). Location was excellent. Excellent view of the super full moon and water and Irving park. Nearby to needed amenities. Quiet location and therefore relaxing. In the room, the windows are across from each other facilitating a lovely ocean cross breeze ( no air conditioning, but not needed second week of August). I highly recommend Hillside in this budget range. Will book again next Saint John visit. Thank you Hillside!

Great location in central Saint John. Our room at this beautiful B&B was exquisite. We felt like we were on set for a historic film. Easy to access - we just called when we arrived and were directed to our room. Since we had to catch a ferry, our host Cheryl, cooked us a yummy early breakfast and got us out the door in good time. She also helped us to plan our route to avoid construction traffic.

The cleanest of the areas, the hotel has Dove products in all bathrooms and the smell is really pleasant. The front desk attendants are professional and make you feel welcome. The view on the harbor is so nice, with a long patch of grass for the dogs to play and ... Again, the areas are clean. The parking lots are adjacent to the hotel which is great for quick access and security.

Our previous stay in Saint John left a LOT to be desired, so we were anxious with this booking. The B&B is larger than we expected and is actually two old Victorian houses that have joined together to make one larger property. Much of the original design elements remain. The staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming and the breakfast was above average.

Lovely little pool, fantastic water slide for those brave enough, and a lovely view of Saint John. Close to shops and restaurants, but perched upon the hill so there isn't imposition from the surrounding businesses with sounds etc. Dogs are welcome and they even give you a little card for the door that tells the staff that dogs are present.

The owners were delightful and very helpful. The building was splendid and tastefully decorated. Our room had a lovely balcony where we sat with a glass of wine watching the sun set, and then there was the superb breakfast - which we enjoyed with the other guests in very convivial surroundings. A must for any travellers when in Saint John.

A lovely, and, as the name indicates, historic property which was spacious, very well maintained, which allowed us to enjoy the craftsmanship of the building and furnishings for which Saint John was famous. The breakfast was well prepared and presented in the lovely dining room overlooking the Harbour.
