The place itself is far from the crowds but an easy ferry away from everything, and there are interesting things to see on elephantine island itself. La Terrace is very clean, and the rooms and the beds are generously sized. As for Mohammed, he will make you feel at home right from the start, will organise everything you need, and at very fair prices. Absolute value for money.

The host was very friendly and helpful. We already communicated before we came to Aswan and he helped us organise the transportation from Hurghada to Aswan. We also booked other tours with him. The room was comfortable and had an amazing balcony where we sat in the evening. From there you can relax and observe the nile. We also had the breakfast which was very delicious and authentic. We highly recommend staying at Airkela Nuba

We couldn't have chosen a better place in Aswan. The guest house offers a superb location with stunning views. The cleanliness and serene atmosphere made our stay very relaxing. Lawanda Nubian House is located right on the market street in the village although the room was quiet at night. It is a family run business and Ahmet and Mohammed were excellent hosts, welcoming us with hibiscus tea. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and they gave us a breakfast to takeaway for our early morning flight. We got a good taste of Nubian hospitality staying at Lawanda.

Staying on Elephantine island is an experience in itself, we loved its quiet Nubian atmosphere and hospitality by Esraa. The room was clean and comfortable, we had the one with external private bathroom but it wasn't an issue at all. Breakfast was very good, freshly prepared and served on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Nile. They also helped arrange the daytrip to Abu Simbel (with packed brekkie for the long journey).

Peaceful and quiet. The rooms have all the basic necessities and is very clean. The staffs were very nice and the food was great! Kafana helped us arrange a private transport to Abu Simbel at a reasonable price, gave complimentary rides to their motor boat and even checked in on us to make sure we made it safely to our destination. Great hospitality at great value!
