Cannot fault this place, it was wonderful! The location was spectacular, the view amazing and the apartment was very well equipped, particularly in the kitchen. So useful also to have access to laundry facilities. Because of the view, we chose to eat in on two of our three nights there!

Everything was perfect, the hosts thought of everything and make our stay lovely. We will come back again soon! We were even lucky to catch the Aurora in our last night.

Set on a farm 8 km from Grundarfjördur, this modern guest house offers a 9-hole golf course, plus free Wi-Fi and parking. Snæfellsjökull National Park is 40 minutes’ drive away. Everything! It was wonderful, the location, the views, the fasciitis, just everything.

Situated in Budhir, Marbakki Luxury Ocean Retreat features accommodation with a hot tub, a solarium and an open-air bath. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. Marbakki was a very beautiful, secluded property. My family and I loved the design of the house - it was very cozy and made us feel right at home. The villa had a lot of great touches including a well stocked kitchen (various spices, coffee pods, etc.) and yoga mats. The rooms were small, but the beds were very comfortable. Although there is only one bathroom, it was spacious and very clean. The outside deck overlooking the ocean and the hot tub were amazing. We enjoyed sitting and relaxing in the hot tub while taking in the ocean and mountain views. I highly recommend taking an evening or morning walk on the beach! Our family really enjoyed this villa and we will keep it on our list for future Iceland trips!

Great location, very helpful staff, beautiful rooms and the kitchen is just what everyone needs! Hope to visit again sometime!

This family run guesthouse sits scenically on the Snæfellsnes peninsula on Iceland’s western coast, and features views of the surrounding nature from all rooms, as well as free Wi-Fi. Everyone from the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner on our second evening. The selection and quality of fresh seafood and fish was amazing and very delicious. Definitely worth the money. They had a little play area for kids in the lobby which kept our son quite happy and busy.

Set in the quiet countryside of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, this family-run guest house is 45 minutes’ drive from Stykkishólmur town centre. We really enjoyed our stay there. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. We arrived later than expected because our toddler has car sickness sometimes. Not only they waited for us until later than 10pm, but they even offered us to wash the dirty (vomited) clothes. They also heated up the room in advance to make sure it was comfortable upon arrival. The room was big and spacious, clean, and the views from the room make it perfect to see the Northern Ligths on a clear night (unfortunately, we were not lucky with the weather).

Easy check in. Cute little town with lots of murals. Definitely check out The Freezer hostel. Great place to get away from it all.

Bikers Paradise is situated in Ólafsvík and offers a shared lounge. This guest house features free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The photos don´t do justice to this lovely place. It felt very welcoming, homing and cosy. We were very surprise how clean it was!!! It has been defiantly a right choice to stay here in we will definitely recommend it.
