We loved it - it was ideal for us. Right opposite the station. We arrived by bus from edam in the morning and we were able to leave our bags which was great. Very convenient for everything. Really nicely renovated and in keeping. The courtyard outside is a bonus- to sit and have a drink. A fridge and microwave so all we needed. The bedrooms are lovely.

We received a warm welcome and had an excellent stay at El Puerto. Ria, the owner, is a very dedicated and friendly host. The room was spacious and clean and at walking distance from the sea and the city. The breakfast was very varied and generous. There was a water cooker and coffee maker in the room as well as a supply of tea and coffee. The view was nice on the port of Hoorn. We highly recommend El Puerto!

Olimme yläkerran ”sviitissä”. Ihana erilainen majoitus ja hyvä ravintola vieressä. Hyvä sänky ja kauniit näkymät ikkunoista. Aamiainen oli aika suppea, mutta onneksi oli itselläkin jotain mukana. Vedenkeitin oli likaisen näköinen, joten en halunnut käyttää. Suihku oli tosiaan hankala, kun yritti olla kastelematta joka paikkaa, mutta sai siellä kuitenkin peseydyttyä. Turistimaksuun kannattaa varata käteistä mukaan, koska verkkomaksu ei välttämättä onnistu. Plussat voitti miinukset, kiva kokemus!

Everything! Perfect location, charming house with a nice outside terrace with afternoon sun. Hosts even prepared a small surprise to celebrate my partner's birthday without extra costs :) Could not recommend it more!

all was lovely, a beautiful room, a whole fully equipped separate kitchen for the guests, wonderful cozy breakfast where there is so much detail for your wants, we eat vegan and even though Hennie had little knowledge about this, she did her uppermost best to provide us a lovely breakfast and took wonderful care of all of us. We would def stay there again and recommend Hennie's home to everyone. :-)

This is a historic house at convenient location. It is so easy for us to access nice restaurants, public carpark and site-seeing spots. The house is huge for six of us and the balcony is the nicest area. The stairs is quite sheep so it is quite challenging for elder. The house seems lack of maintenance, i.e. TV or remove control is not working, some lights was dark and the kitchen could be better organized. The beds are too soft for us. One of the bed had been fall off when my niece aged 9 slept on it. Shower water was hot enough. Overall, it was a nice house and the owner is so nice too.
