Our stay at Kendwa villas truly exceeded our expectations. Location-wise, it was great: in the center of things, such as restaurants and shops, and close to the beach. Would have liked easier access to the beach, my understanding was that the beach was right outside the premises, but in any case it was just a short walk. Very safe, impeccably clean, modern and a nice vibe all around with the personal touches. E.g. a communal kitchen where we could help ourselves to coffee, fruit, etc. This made our stay feel less like a hotel, and more like a guest in somebody's home. The owner, Omar, was friendly and helpful with any requests and questions, e.g. travel advice. Beautiful outside area, with a well maintained garden and pool. Perfect for relaxing and quiet time. The staff overall were very friendly, warm and genuine, welcoming and accommodating. E.g. we were able to choose our room, which I appreciated. They catered to vegan/vegetarian requests and made us amazing breakfasts with fruit and a warm meal to follow.

Renata is very nice and a lovely host. The location is perfekt, as we prefer to stay a few hundred meters from the beach. Spacy clean room. Superb breakfast. Some cute cats on our veranda was a great bonus. We can recommend Furaha B&B for comfortable stay in Kendwa.

- clean - spacious - private - quiet - super close to the beach - kitchen is super useful We had a great experience, specially because of the manager, Mustafa! He made me feel like he honestly cares about my happiness! Mustafa is super friendly, trustworthy and he always tries to help, with small things like getting a taxi for a normal price (not tourist price), or more important ones, like excursions. He helped us to book a Safari trip in Tanzania for a great price, and the experience was amazing in every aspect of it. I just paid and Mustafa took care of the rest, which was perfect for my “vacation mindset”. Many many thanks, Mustafa! Badae!

This was a wonderful find, and a great value. It was nice to stay in a quiet home away from the noise and commotion of the resorts on the beach. The view from my balcony was great, and sunsets over the sea were beautiful. The second floor apartment catches the breeze and stays cool (the air conditioning was rarely needed). The hosts are very accommodating and friendly. They are fluent in Italian, and also speak English. Maid service came every day, which is unusual for an apartment. It was nice to have a kitchen (shared with another room) to prepare the local fruits sold in the village. The beach (which is the nicest, or one of the nicest, in Zanzibar) is a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment, and local restaurants are only a few minutes walk from the apartment. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Zanzibar.

This is a family run business at the south of Kendwa beach. Becca and his sisters have set up a wonderful facility. They are very close of the village so I enjoyed both the local and "tourist" perspectives.

Very friendly personnel, especially bar manager Sajid and waitress Sporah, hotel service works flawless, not expensive and just at the beach. On the daily menu catch of the day, right from the sea.

The staff were kind, great and always helpful with what ever was needed for a pleasant stay. Location about a 15-20 minute walk from the lovely Kendwa beach. WiFi worked well and I was very pleased with my stay. Thank you to the lovely staff of Mbuyuni Lodge for making my stay so enjoyable!
