The receptionist we had upon checking in was friendly, helpful and very accommodating when I had a sick child.
The family room is quite spacious. Great location. The only downside is the lack of parking available on site.

Lovely to attend the Blues festival for my annual visit (not a snow lover) and enjoy the Village in summer. Enjoyed the Gondola for my first time and loved the ride, and that there is a venue at the top to eat or drink or listen to music.. If planning to eat out do take plentyof $$$ss as no cheaper options ecept the bakery and cafe on the Village square..

Thredbo is a great base for physical adventures.
Thredbo is a great base for physical adventures. However, it's very expensive. It stuns me that a golf course takes up so much of the small amount of space available, which limits accommodation and keeps prices high. Who goes to Thredbo to play golf?!

Closest ski field from Canberra. Easy to drive to.
Closest ski field from Canberra. Easy to drive to. Great for children. Snow was not great this season unfortunately, lift pass at $200/day is a bit pricey, lessons for adults were also high - used to be much cheaper pre-covid for lift and lesson. Ski school instructors, most were pretty good with kids - pleased with that.

Skiing in Australia will also be a bit of a risk.
Skiing in Australia will also be a bit of a risk. Massively expensive for potentially poor snow coverage.
Thredbo had such limited accessibility on one of our days everyone getting down the run then had to take off their ski/snowboard to hike through mud to the only available chairlift from main hub. Enormous queue. Saw people arrive and just turn around. There are limited options to get out of front valley when the wind shuts down the the chairlifts. This was end of July - peak season.
I recommend Perisher over Thredbo in terms of reliable access to snow.

Thredbo is easy to get too, and the drive there from either direction (especially from Khancoban) is Fantastic. There is a lot of chair rides, and a Gondala ride, if you want to just go for sight seeing, and the Board Walk on the top of the mountain is a "must-do" in the out of season times.
Thredbo is probably one of the best locations for mountain bike riding.

The room was lovely. Spotless.
The room was lovely. Spotless. Heated flooring and towel rails. Large bathroom with plenty bench space. Lovely breakfast in shared dining room. Beautiful views from picturesque windows. Hosts were wonderful. The only problem is the access. To the chalet. Going down 52 odd steps. Is fine if you have no health issues or knee problems. And we were fortunate to have only a small bag. This is the only issue I have with pure Thredbo. But it’s important to let others know. I have friends who would not have been able to stay had they have known of the steps
Otherwise. Perfect
This is a very comfortable place to stay at Thredbo. Quick walk to the main ski lifts, shops and restaurants. Level entry with the car space right by the door. Excellent views of the mountain. Loved the sauna and open fireplace. Well laid out with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so each room has their own bathroom. Great water pressure in the shower. The code locked door made it easy for everyone to come and go. Heated floors in the bathroom and kitchen were an added luxury.
We visited this "ski" lodge in summer. The entire area is a "V" with the one side the road and parking for this stay, the bottom is the ski lift / commercial district, and the right side the top of the mountain. Easy to get your bags to the lodge. Many steps down to town and if you climb the moutain the walk back up the steps is strenuous.
The host is wonderful and cooks a tasty, filling breakfast. We enjoyed the other couples in sharing stories from around the world.
Cosy little room with a wardrobe, hanging rail and shelves.Room heating was excellent. Comfortable bed.Breakfast was good. Was great to have plates, utensils and microwave available for frozen meals and take aways.Very handy as most restaurants in Thredbo are booked 1-2 weeks in advance.
Staff are very friendly, helpful and always available.
Location was perfect, bus stop and restaurants are nearby.Easy walk to Thredbo village. Was good value for money.
What I liked the most was the feeling of remoteness but at the same time it felt like home - a comfortable, cosy main room with a mountain lodge atmosphere. The room I stayed in was not big but that's ok because it was more than enough for the time I stayed. If the weather was good I would have had great views of the Kosciuszko area.
We stayed at this chalet in summer. It is in a good location in the Woodridge area of Thredbo. Easy walking distance to Thredbo village and main chairlift. One closed car space, 3 bedrooms + one loft area with two single beds and a sofa bed - enough to sleep 9 people easily. The loft gets quite hot during the summer nights.
The location was nice and quiet and out of the village but only a short walk. The ski shuttle was directly opposite which was great. The living and dining area was spacious enough for us the have friends for dinner. The sauna/drying room was very handy and the entrance area was great for leaving all your skis.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. When I ask about where to go in Thredbo, he was very helpful, smiling and knowledgeable. We extended a bit because I went for a chairlift, but the hotel didn't ask me extra. I will definitely stay again with them in the future. Buffet breakfast was excellent!
Went in summer and it was the great place to stay, must be great in the ski season due to its proximity to the lifts and restaurants. Fantastic staff and a terrific Mexican restaurant. Good room with comfortable bed and good bathroom. Would definitely stay again.
Located in the heart of village, nice to have a parking spot when everywhere else is full during holiday season. Clean room and super friendly staffs. Will definitely recommend to anyone who wants to visit Thredbo.
The service at the hotel was outstanding. The staff were very accommodating, they offered to park our car, carried our luggage upstairs and checked us in earlier than 4pm as stated.
To sum up our stay in Bernit's: all was perfect... nice place, well equiped and very friendly staff. Sure to stay there again the next time we'll go to Thredbo...
Great location and great views. An attractive and comfortable apartment with wonderful lounge furniture to relax a the end of the day. The beds were comfortable.
Great location and easy to access town via our door to the main path, the village was amazing and so many activities over the summer holidays, kids loved it!
