The Room Was clean , quiet , and comfortable . The bed was pleasant to rest on . We were happy that the beds had fleece blankets instead of the heavy comforter , easy to see that it was clean . Also extra blankets in the drawer was appreciated . This is definitly a very nice place to stay .

A couple of nice restaurants (we enjoyed Tim Horton's and Donnelly's Pub), small, walkable, very pleasant town. Lots of construction on important roads while we were there, and detour signs aren't always accurate, so difficulty getting to Niagara and finding open entrance to QEW.

The lock system was what drew me to Thorold but I enjoyed the town itself as well. I had dinner at places near the historic town center: Donnelly’s pub, where I had a great lamb stew, and breakfast at Hana’s which was friendly with good food. I found some nice shops in that area as well and some lovely homes and parks.
The unit was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The furnishings were in very good shape. Bedrooms were of adequate size, not large. Two bedrooms had an ensuite bathroom, the other bedrooms had a separate shared bath. The area, fairly new townhomes, seem comprised of college age students. There are stores and restaurants in nearby Thorold and about a 30 min drive to NOTL.. We stayed the weekend to attend the ice wine festival and visit nearby wineries. Overall, we had a great stay and would come back again.
This Hotel was our only Option as our son studies in Brock Uni and there was no other Hotel vacant at this time of the year. The room had an amazing view of the Lock8, and green forests. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony.
There was a parking on site which was an advantage, the area was nice and quiet as the hotel is in a residential area.
The Hotel was very clean and hygienic. The photo of the Hotel and rooms do not do justice as it was a very well maintained property and we would love to stay there again.
The location is outside the center of St. Catharines, just across the street from Brock University which I liked a lot. There is a large free parking just outside the hotel and a beautiful park nearby.
The hotel inside is full of light and nicely furnished, and rooms are spacious, with separate zones for sleep and work.
Spacious, clean, and comfortable restaurant. We liked the food.
The location at lock 7 of the Welland canal was interesting, but the lock operates 24 hours a day in the summer so there is some noise filling and emptying the lock. A great balcony view of the lock. The inn is located in a historic part of Thorold so the area is lovely small town Ontario. We spent little time in our room because we were busy with all the area attractions.
We enjoy old-school independent hotels and this one fits the bill. Older building but everything is neat, clean and well-kept. Larger than typical rooms, with balcony overlooking the Welland canal. Got to see a large ship pass through this am. Appreciate a place with real glasses and mugs. Beds were firm yet comfortable, with good pillows. Nice sunrise too!
The location was good for my reason for travel. I was kind of cool be overlooking the canal and locks and seeing ships going through the locks.
It was quiet, From the looks of the parking lot it was quite full, but did not hear other quests, which I find a little rare with hotel stays these days.
The room was clean.
Location is close to the person I was visiting so that was convenient and the price was fair. Honestly the price was why I chose this inn. Hotel rates are over priced. Just needed a place to sleep. The ships going through the locks are a bonus!
Carpets looked nice and clean and bathroom looked modern and clean.
parking was massive and free, suites were big with living room and bedroom, bed and pillows were comfortable, price was reasonable, clean, quiet and hotel was grand and huge, friendly staff
The location in Thorold was very well placed to explore the Niagara region. The balcony that allowed for viewing the ships going through Lock Seven was great, and a very unique experience.
Then manager try to help me out resolve the problem. But for me still, the hotel could be the best in the world after a failure like that in a pandemic situation I will not come back.
The hotel clerk Girish went out of his way to help when I made an error in reservation dates. I very much appreciated his effort and kindness to ensure we had a nice stay.
