Reception was very friendly and helpful . Definite language barrier - my French is not good and reception’s English was not good but we were able to communicate reasonably well . Room was clean and bathroom had a bathtub . our room , 201 was on the street but was quite quiet . Our view from the room of the Valley was great
On site restaurant opened a bit late ,7:00PM but food was good with reasonable price point . Breakfast was adequate .

A beautiful village which can be walked around in a couple of hours. An ideal starting point for local walks in the woods or day excursions to the northern Vosges. If you like jazz and can be there for the August festival ("Au Gré du Jazz"), you will be in heaven!

Our appartment in delightful la Petite Pierre, was one of the highlights of our trip, situated in the heart of the old upper village, very near the castle. It was well appointed, with everything we needed and very comfortable. We appreciated the private terrace, where we had our meals and the lovely breakfast bag every morning.
The only disappointment, was that their restaurant, which is Michelin recommended, had it's rest day on Monday and Tuesday - but we had good meals at the hotels in the lower village. Highly recommended!
Very charming, cozy and elegant. The kitchen was very nice and convinient. The best part was the dinner at the restaurant of the hotel (with gluten free options). don’t forget to book in advance because it is very popular. The village around is very beautiful with the castle and old wall. We brought a 1 year old baby with us and all went very smooth. we will repeat!! congratulations to the team.
Very authentic, beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. It is far from the town, but for us that is what we were looking for- right in the forest and by hiking trails.
The staff was largely very pleasant and helpful, even though we did not speak French or German :) The rooms were clean, and a view from the balcony amazing.
The restaurant and the food was fantastic.
Made an overnight stay on the way. But we discovered a real gem. Would go back for a dedicated visit. The hotel is very clean and right next to the charming small ancient Chateau. Host was super nice and friendly.
Lovely family style hotel. It's a bit dated but that adds to the charm. Restaurant serves a pretty good dinner, with an excellent wine list. Breakfast ok by French standards
The location of the hotel was good, easy to find and had free parking right outside.
Had an enjoyable evening meal in the restaurant, and breakfast was also good.
