Perfect location in the centre of town a short distance from the water and hiking spots. Really good value, included breakfast was high quality and the staff were really nice and helpful. Beautiful views from the window. In the evening the pub is very cosy, good food, open fire and range of drinks.
I would definitely recommend staying here for a weekend break.
Featuring exposed stone walls, oak beams, and a cozy log-burning stove, this inn was built around 400 years ago and features free Wi-Fi and free parking on site.

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. Loved the location - 3 pubs that do food and shops for groceries only a minute walk away and only a short walk down to the lake shore.
We particularly liked having the space of self catering but having breakfast included at the B and B owned by the same owner , Frances. The breakfast was well cooked, presented well and very hot.
Next to Coniston Water, The Coniston Inn - The Inn Collection Group has lawns running down to the lake shore and a restaurant with spectacular mountain views.
In the charming Lake District village of Coniston, less than 0.5 miles from Coniston Water, The Crown Inn has a relaxed pub and bright rooms.

A very comfortable inn in the centre of the village. The rooms were a little small, although comfortable and nicely furnished. Food in restaurant good, as was breakfast.

Coniston is a pretty village and a great attraction is the Bluebird boat in the Ruskin Museum. However, if you want to stay near a lake, Coniston isn't the right village.
Only pub food in Coniston and they haven't heard of/no demand for salads.

Coniston is the perfect village to stay at for exploring this area of the lake district. There are some fantastic views and walks in all directions for varying levels of experience and fitness. Refreshments and accommodation are available, with at least four pubs for great food and beer, plus a petrol station, cafes and a few shops, without losing the village feel.

The cottage is homely, fairly clean, it has most things you need, a lovely view of Coniston and the lake. The location was perfect for us, plenty of walks from the cottage and lovely views on the walk back along the elevated lane.
The only downside was the junk around the back of the cottage, and to the side.

Beautiful area of the lakes.
Beautiful area of the lakes. We haven’t spent much time around Coniston before having normally visited Keswick. Coniston is a picturesque village, the lake makes for some amazing photos and the village’s is full of, and surrounded by, places to eat.

I have visit Coniston many times before, this time was to go fell walking with my Son. Booked Bluebird Lodge at quite short notice but found it very easy. I knew it was just outside of the town which allowed us to pick up walks without moving the car. We also took a trip on the Steam Gondola & went around the Ruskin Museum, both of which were excellent have been meaning to do for years. Bluebird Lodge is near the lake where there are a vast array of activities for all ages. Great food both at the Lodge & nearby pubs & cafes. Couldn't have asked for more. Superb!
The location was perfect with it been set in the heart of Coniston village, we had fantastic views of surrounding fells including the Old Man. The room itself was spacious with comfy bed and good tea/ coffee making facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful, couldn’t fault the service. The bar downstairs had a great choice of different beers and lagers and other beverages as well as a decent menu for food (we didn’t try the food as had other reservations). Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
Very comfortable accommodation, nice decor and the bedrooms come well equipped with kettle and plentiful supply of tea and coffee.
Great location, a short walk from the town centre and opposite the Coniston Inn, if you fancied a drink.
Really good breakfast, with lots of choice. Super breakfast room, with great views into the hills and the bird feeders provide plenty of entertainment.
Really personal service from the owners, who are very welcoming and helpful
Pretty much everything. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and the shower was superb. Although the evening meals were bar meals there was an area of tables reserved for residents, as the bar was very busy. Menu choice was standard fare. Breakfasts were brilliant. The staff were very always friendly and keen to assist. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. We also ate out at the 2 other pubs in Coniston and the Black Bull was definitely the best.
Location is just perfect, you have all amenities around the corner.
Various walks can be started from the doorstep. or you can drive to so many other little villages (20-30mins radius, Ambleside/Windermere/Grasmere/Keswick to name a few) and the options are endless
Walking distance to Coniston Lake
Facilities inside the flat are great. All other reviews you will read will mention the showerhead being great and it is true.
Really friendly hosts who accommodated us arriving a bit earlier unexpectedly. Helpful & knowledgeable about local walks. Good location for branching out to the Western lakes & of course The Old Man. Accommodation was comfortable, quiet and was well stocked with gadgets, crockery & gadgets needed for a self catering stay. Could have happily stayed longer. WiFi worked well & access to internet TV.

The hotel and staff both amazing. Hotel is lovely, clean and warm. The food both breakfast and evening meal was beautiful and enough of it. Staff polite and would do anything straight away. There was a welcome box in the bedroom for the dog, biscuits, ball and poo bags. They welcomed our dog with love. Situated 10min walk from Coniston waters. Will definitely be going back.
Excellent accommodation. Well equipped, clean, comfortable with stunning views of the Lake and the hills. Ideal for a trip to Coniston. We were there for the Lakeland Trails running events and it is just a mile to the start which was an extra bonus.
Our stay was brilliant, excellent location between Coniston old man and the lake. The hosts were super lovely and welcoming. The room was clean and just what we needed for two nights. Breakfast was lovely and tasted great. Can not recommend enough!
Location - so peaceful. Owls hooting. Nature. Green. Discovery of new interesting historic corner of Lake District. Log burner. You can walk to Coniston via Cumbrian way. Magical oak wood en route. Beds comfy. Lovely shower.
Everything went very smoothly, the staff were extremely courteous and professional. The food was lovely. The very short distance to the lake was great, everything was spotless. Wonderful place.
Perfect location, with private access to the lake, relaxed atmosphere, great breakfasts, fresh milk available for tea/coffee in our room, friendly, helpful staff, beautiful garden.
Excellent location, very scenic and central to Coniston. Accommodation very homely and comfortable. The welcome pack of goodies was a lovely touch. Information book well organised.
Everything was perfect. Had a great time in Coniston and the Lakeland House was a great place stay. Comfy beds, good breakfast, clean and comfortable accommodation.
