The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us useful tips about the local area. I would happily go back here and would recommend it. Good value for money. For example the recptionist told us abour the walk across to Bar island which was only accessible when the tide was out.

Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park: A Delicious and Scenic Escape!
We had a fantastic time exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park! The charming little town offered a delightful escape, with plenty of delicious dining options to keep us fueled. Lobster rolls, ice cream, and coffee became our happy place flavors.
Bar Harbor itself was incredibly walkable (and drivable for those times!), with a convenient grocery store right near our stay at the Acadia Inn. But the true star of the show was the National Park.
For any outdoor enthusiast, Acadia National Park is paradise. We hiked to our heart's content, surrounded by stunning scenery. It was the perfect combination of small-town charm and breathtaking nature!

The downtown area looks like a typical Cruise destination. Lots of shops with 10000 tee shirts, but some nice and expensive ones as well. Lobster rolls are the big thing, but pricey.'The best restaurants are not the town center, they are outside.

The time spent was on the opening shoulder season. The price was awesome and the staff as well. If you want a 100% of all the facilities just wait a few weeks and you will have some great extras. Perfect distance from Bar Habor as you are in your own small hamlet

Lovely coastal town free of chain restaurants!!
Lovely coastal town free of chain restaurants!! All the shops and restaurants seemed locally owned and unique to the area. We enjoyed lots of seafood like fresh lobster, clam chowder and lobster bisque. Be sure to walk the coastal path and take a harbor cruise! We loved flying Cape Air from Boston to Bar Harbor to see the coast and islands--just be sure to pick up your luggage in Boston and bring it to the Cape Air terminal! Restaurants we liked-- Geddy's, Ben & Bills Chocolate Emporium for ice cream/gelato/fudge, Stewman's, Bar Harbor Lobster Pound --they had outdoor games, too! Of course, don't miss Acadia National Park and Abel's Lobster right by the yacht yard--great outdoor ambiance!!

We enjoyed sunrises at Cadillac Mountain, crossing the bar at low tide, hiking the Beehive, the Bubbles, and Acadia Mountain, and walking on a small portion of the carriage roads.
Bar Harbor had great food, but it was tough to get into the restaurants. Our favorite was the Side Street Cafe.
We went in late October. Pros - lower crowds. Con - water activities and some restaurants were already closed for the season.

I can't wait to go back!
I can't wait to go back! Bar Harbor is a beautiful town that's extremely close to Acadia National Park. It's the perfect place to return to after a long hike. The locals are friendly and the food is delicious. The views are phenomenal.
Motel style accommodation just two or three minutes drive from Bar Harbor downtown. A little shabby and not very spacious but generally clean and calm place. We were lucky to get a room here at very high Fall season when only other available option was quite far away in Bangor. We had the view to the threes but no complain about it. Having other options available, we would rather pay a little more for regular hotel or one of the options in Bar Harbor's downtown. We have enjoyed our three days stay in Acadia NP anyway.
Everything is exactly as pictured and what you don't see in pictures is all the "extras" such as toiletries, hair dryer, binoculars (great for whale watching trips or bird watching while hiking), shopping bags (you must supply your own at stores here or pay for them), board games and more. There is A/C and ceiling fans in each bedroom and living area. The owner has thought of everything! This truly is a home away from home! Location is perfect walkable distance to anywhere you want to go in downtown Bar Harbor.
The hotel was well managed and clean. In addition, all of the staff were friendly and wearing face coverings. Our room was large and perfect for the "tent add-on" for our daughter. Even though we did not take advantage of the other amenities, the hotel hosts other family events throughout the week (s'mores & movie nights).
It's location is perfect for a trip to both Bar Harbor and Acadia. Close to downtown Bar Harbor and the entrance to the national park (especially Cadillac Mountain).
I enjoyed so many things about our stay! Prime location in Bar Harbor, minutes from Acadia National Park, the staff was always warm and welcoming, etc. My favorite part was the attention to detail and investment staff made in each guest experience. A wide variety of breakfast options, 24/7 hot chocolate/coffee/apple cider, laundry availability, and they would even leave hiking snacks and fresh fruit out for us before we left for the day! Definitely one of the best hotel experiences I have had.
Perfect location for a stay at Acadia National Park...walking distance to all restaurants, close to entrance to park, quiet area. The room was clean and inviting, bed very comfortable. We were surprised by the take away breakfast...perfect! The staff was so helpful in recommending restaurants as well as best things to see first on way into park...so many good recommendations. We hope to go back and will stay at the Bar Harbor Manor again.
A really lovely hotel on the edge of Bar Harbor close to Acadia National Park. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and spacious, we wanted for nothing. We particularly liked the way the hotel encouraged guests to recycle items and all products used at breakfast were recyclable which was fantastic! The breakfast too was really nice with a great choice of items each day.
The room was newly renovated and was extremely clean. The hotel was very thoughtful in letting us know that we can park at the property and roam around bar harbor if we arrive early. They also had breakfast boxes you could pick up from front desk, which was also very thoughtful of them given the hikes you are going to be doing.
The Motel has undergone renovations in the last 2 years
Everything looks new and clean.
Location, location, location - 5 min walk from the Bar Harbor downtown and the Village Green park where you can take one of the free buses to the Acadia Park (for example Sand Beach)
Incredibly nice and helpful front desk assistants.
The room was large and comfortable, with a great view. The restaurant serves breakfast only, which was very good. The hotel and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location, close to Acadia and only a short walk into Bar Harbor. Enjoyed the hot tub and indoor pool.
Contactless check-in with room code texted to your phone is so convenient. Comfortable bed with a small kitchenette and mini fridge. Located very close to Acadia park entrance as well as downtown Bar Harbor. Great water pressure though the stand up shower is a bit small.
Lovely hotel! The staff were wonderful and very helpful, and the building is beautiful. Our room was bright, clean, and cozy. It was nice to be on a quiet street, and you can easily get to downtown Bar Harbor - including the waterfront - in about a ten-minute walk.
Great location in Bar Harbor, close to the downtown shops, restaurants and harbor. Easy walking distance to the local scene and close to Acadia. Phil was an excellent Innkeeper, the porch and or sitting rooms provided a place to relax after a long day of hiking.
The room was very clean and very beautiful. The view was the best I’ve ever had from a hotel room. The room was right next to an on property restaurant. The town of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are within a few miles. Lovely place!
The two-bedroom room was oriented for families and as such, was large and comfortable for everyone. It was clean and convenient and breakfast was a bonus with fresh Maine blueberries.
Location was great. The hotel had a bus service to downtown Bar Harbor leaving/arriving every half hour. We left our car and used this service, and it worked out great.
