This typically-Cantabrian hotel is surrounded by verdant lawns, just 300 metres from the bars, restaurants and shops of Suances, on Spain’s Green Coast. Suances Beach is 250 metres away. Staff was friendly and professional. check in and out super easy. Room and bathroom are roomy and clean. The parking was easy. The hotel has a nice cozy feel to it with a car theme. The bartender makes a great mojito and I’ve been to Cuba where I’ve had plenty. Since we were there in the off season we had to eat in the hotel and the dinner was amazing and the breakfast buffet had lots of options to choose from. Definitely would stay here again.

The location in the historical centre is perfect. Also, for walking the Camino del Northe the Posada is ideally situated. Breakfast is simple. For people who avoid gluten, you need to bring your own products.

Set in the mountain village of Santillana del Mar, and a 6-minute drive from the Altamira Caves, Pension Castio offers free Wi-Fi and heated rooms and private parking. This was the BEST place we stayed while on the Camino! Absolutely stunning accommodations and the owner/host is super nice. Everything was clean, spacious, and provided a great atmosphere.
