Set in the chic residential Aventino area of Rome, San Anselmo is a 19th-century villa with garden, where breakfast is served in fine weather. It offers elegant rooms and overlooks Sant’Anselmo Church. Great experience, dreamlike room and accommodation in general. We requested the four poster bed and got exactly that, received a welcome drink upon check in and the room had a very large bathtub. Late checkout until noon was perfect. Definitely worth the **** and corresponding price. If you go down the hill, you get a variety of dining options, some good (wine)bars and metro station to get to Rome’s ancient sightseeing attractions.
