Great location, next to the Roman Amphitheatre and super close to the Cathedral. Despite some of the opinions, you don’t have to climb a lot to get there, as there is a feniculaire station operating in the area; it is a part of the Lyon transportation system (so metro/bus tickets are accepted). Also, the receptionist is really friendly and helpful.

My father had his birthday and the staff went out of their way to make the day even more special with a small cake for breakfast and sweets in the room.
