Incredible location at the top of the funicular, with views to the mountains and all of Bergamo. Spotlessly clean, very good service, beautiful gardens and the breakfast was delicious. The room was very elegant and had character, and also had a comfy bed. Hands down the best place we have stayed in our 10 day long trip to Italy, and would gladly recommend it to anyone. Roberta made our check in very easy and showed us around the gardens, which we appreciated greatly.

Set in the historic Bergamo Alta area, Il Sole offers a restaurant serving traditional dishes and pizza from the wood-burning oven. The modern rooms come with free Wi-Fi and mountain views. Everything! Very nice and helpful staff! The food was very tasty! Perfect location!

On the main street of Bergamo's Città Alta district, Hotel Piazza Vecchia is near the Cathedral and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. the hotel was absolutely beautiful and perfect location staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms were fantastic
