Priya and his team couldn’t do enough for us and was so attentive with utmost understanding and kindness to our 22month old daughter. The food was fine dining at its best and kept making the chicken soup my daughter couldn’t get enough of. Priya’s knowledge of the wildlife in the park was great and again focusing on wildlife our daughter could see.

This fan-cooled tent has a safe, dining and sofa seating areas. Private bathroom comes with a shower and free toiletries. The camp managers and staff were excellent and made sure all our needs were met. The food was great and I got to try several new Sri Lankan dishes that I never tasted before. And the drive through the Safari parks that they organized were excellent.

Great location, next to Wilpattu National park! Staff was friendly and helpful. Also the Safari they offered was amazing! Lot of Knowledge!

Właściciel na naszą prośbę zorganizował nam całodzienne Safari w Parku Narodowym Wilpattu - nasz przewodnik i kierowca byli bardzo pomocni i w pełni zaangażowani, dzięki czemu spędziliśmy niezapomniane chwile obserwując dzikie zwierzęta w ich naturalnym środowisku. Posiłki serwowane w trakcie safari jak i w miejscu noclegi były bardzo smaczne.

The fireplace is the standout feature of this tent. The tent features a washing machine, a private entrance, as well as a private bathroom boasting a walk-in shower and a bath. Wilpattu Green Cabin is a small and friendly family-run establishment in the countryside near Eluwankulama. It is accessible by tuk tuk from the Elwulankulama bus stop. The drivers will know where to go. (It’s about 5 minutes away.) Wilpattu Green Cabin is located right on the Lunu Ela River (I think that is the name) and is a lovely and relaxing spot to take a break. They have two new bungalows with a fan, mosquito nets and veranda that face the river and are spacious, clean and comfy. They also have one room referred to as “the treehouse“ which was entirely crafted out of sustainable “green“ materials. It is more cozy than the bungalows but it is super adorable and has a wonderful vibe. Be prepared to climb a ladder! It costs a little bit more than the bungalows but worth it! They also have a couple air con rooms that are kind of dark and do not face the river in case you absolutely need your AC. You will probably want to purchase lunch and/or dinner at Green Cabin since there is no other easy option but no worries, the meals are tasty and filling. Breakfast was included. The establishment is run by a friendly fellow named Riswan, his brother, sister-in-law and others. Riswan will arrange a Jeep safari to Wilppatu National Park if you like. You can also take a long pole boat ride up the river to look for birds. I did both the Jeep safari and the long pole boat ride and thoroughly enjoyed them. Of note: there is an elephant that sometimes swims the river and sneaks into the adjacent rice paddy for a midnight snack! I would definitely book another stay at Wilpattu Green Cabin, especially in the treehouse!

Pool was the kids favourite and in the sand; with magical sunsets. Family tent was great and everything worked and the Dolphin boat trip in the morning was truely amazing

Featuring carpet flooring, tents come with an outdoor living area and a private bathroom with hot-water showers. Includes a torch, umbrellas and a luggage rack. The camp exceeded our expectations, huge tent with hot water in en-suite. Lovely 4 course meal. Definitely a luxury experience and one to remember for all the right reasons. There is always the worry that safari trips will be too intrusive to the animals and nature but this was not! Very well organised and thoughtfully done.
