The Palm Ecolodge is a tranquil property up in the hills of Ha Giang away from the city buzz and heat. We had a lovely stay there, the views were absolutely stunning all around and there is a lot of greenery at the property, so the place really invites you to slow down and relax. The rooms were cute and cosy with wooden decor and the whole property had a lovely style. Pool was great and refreshing. We enjoyed delicios dinner at very ambient restaurant at the property. We stayed one night, but I would deffinititey recommend to stay two days to unwind before or after Ha Giang loop.

We had the most amazing stay at Nam Ly - one of our highlights of Vietnam. Nam Ly is surrounded by panoramic views of rice fields - the most spectacular scenery we have seen in Vietnam. We took a trek one day with a local guide who knew the best routes and we learned about the Black Dao ethnic minority and their culture. It was also great to just relax on a hammock with views of the rice fields in the sun, and enjoy great food at the homestay (they cater well for vegetarians). Mr Lee, the owner, couldn’t have been more helpful - he organised our travel from Ha Giang and back to Hanoi and answered all sorts of questions. He was very responsive and always looking to support - the best host you could imagine.

The comfort level was very high for this remote location and Wi-Fi excellent. Housekeeping and staff were always available and they sent a car to pick me up from the bus. It was a great place to take day hikes from using the Wikiloc app. The next door 1986 Glam Camp served the best fresh ginger tea in their outdoor tea and bar service.
