The guesthouse is situated close to Nijo Castle and Kyoto Imperial Palace, making it a good spot to explore this side of Kyoto. We had a lovely two-night stay and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Our room was cozy with a charming small garden. Kayoko-san treated us to special teas in the evening, which was a delightful surprise after a day of exploring the city.

The location is good. Near the shopping center and stations. There’s also a 7/11 nearby. The shared bathroom is always clean and has available amenities for use. There’s also food stalls and restaurants which are all walking distance. I also live that they have a massager in the common room which I used especially after a long walk.

If you want to stay in an old part of the city, not in a faceless chain hotel, this is a great option. There is a convenience store and a supermarket a few minutes' walk from the inn.
