The place was beautiful and extremely well maintained. It was serene and has a fully covered courtyard in the the center where you can eat breakfast or have tea every morning (the photos on the site are very accurate). The individually-portioned breakfast was awesome, very generous, and changed on a daily basis. I also loved the fresh ginger tea they served in the evenings. In terms of location, you can get to Malioboro via a $2 cab ride (or you can walk 20-30min to get there). It's super easy to get cabs in Yogyakarta. There's also a convenience store right outside on the main road, and the guest house is a 3min walk away from Tempo Gelato (a popular dessert place). The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Bambang, who is such a kind person and always there when we needed something.

Maria was excellent with helping us with transportation and things to do and where to eat. Bram was also very attentive to our needs at breakfast. We were there for 3 nights and each morning was a different delicious and beautifully presented breakfast. The location was ideal for walking to the sites. Other than morning prayer at 4:45, it’s a very quiet location.

Blue Garden Yogyakarta er et nyrenoveret pensionat i Yogyakarta, 11 km fra Museum Sonobudoyo. Der er udendørs swimmingpool og bjergudsigt. It is out in a rural area well outside the city. Very peaceful and relaxing. Room was super clean and air conditioned with a large bathroom ( no a/c) and mini bar. ( Beer and cokes only) It has a small but good restaurant ( reserve meals in advance) and a lovely garden and pool. Looks out on rice fields with birds and nature all around. It is close.to a mosque and you can definitely hear the call to prayer. It added to the atmosphere for us and they turn down the loudspeaker for the 4am call to prayer!. You can borrow the bikes and ride through the working rice fields leased from the sultan. You certainly get to see authentic rural Javanese life but its not for those who want any kind of nightlife! Beer available but no wine, so bring your own if you want to relax over a glass while getting your authenticity!

Ndalem Suryo Saptono Guest House ligger i Yogyakarta, 2,7 km fra togstationen Yogyakarta Tugu, 3,1 km fra Tugu-monumentet og butikscentret Malioboro Mall. Every morning we received local breakfast. Possiibilities to buy water and instant soups in the property. They provide a nice daydriver at the place for a good price.

I had a great cultural experience and the location is just a stones throw to the Prambanan Temple, Ratu Boko Temple is very close as well and worth visiting. The Homestay was very well maintained and spotless, Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed by the owner (Henni). Henni and her Daughter (Flower) were extremely friendly and i felt very comfortable in their presence. Henni's home cooked food was very yummy and the room was very spacious and comfortable. The ambience of the place is traditional Javanese. The most heartfelt moment for me there was when Henni and flower surprised me with a Birthday dinner, It was a Nasi Tumpeng. I highly recommend this place for short or a long stay(I stayed for 4 nights) I would definitely come back and stay again. Thank you Henni for being a great host. Regards George Georgios (Australia)

Viavia Guesthouse ligger i Yogyakarta, 15 minutters kørsel fra det livlige butiksstrøg Malioboro og Yogyakarta-paladset. Der er gratis internet, café og moderne indrettede værelser. The highlight of this place are the people who work there. All the girls and guys at the reception are kind, smiling and ready to help with anything you ask (I needed to visit a dentist for a broken tooth when I was there...). They speak good English. The second highlight is the garden, with beautiful plants and cozy seating, and a pool if you want to cool down. Breakfast is not included with the dorm bed, it's Rp 35k (sweet toast or omellette), included if you book a private room. If you are leaving early like we did for Borobudur, they will get up at 5am to make you a fresh breakfast to take with you. Coffee and tea is available the whole day, as well as water refill. The shower has warm water. There are also kitchen utensils, plates/cups if you want to prepare your own food. Book early, it is a popular place. I wanted to extend and they were booked, had to find another place nearby for my last night in Jogja. But the reception girls told me I can still come by to hang out in the garden, which I did! Great place.
