The host was extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast at Big Mama's was fantastic! I loved the location on Santa Catalina - no motorized vehicles and a bit away from the hustle and bustle of town but still easy walking distance. Crossing the bridge was a great way to come down from a long and exciting day of island activities. There were a few restaurants and mini marts nearby to get things if you didn't want to cross the bridge.

The location is in the "tourist" zone meaning the South West beach is a 15 minutes walk, there are plenty of restaurants nearby and the local grocery store is a minute walk. The rooms are comfortable with a small sitting area on the porch. Staff is outstanding and multilingual -- always happy to organize tours, diving or transportation with lots of good tips for first time visitors to this gem of an island.
