We were lucky to be invited to join the yearly festival that happened that weekend and to get a more in depth experience of the Faroese culture.

The house was beautiful, a living museum built in 1912 and in great conditions for the guests to enjoy it. The host was amazing. He prepared a delicious traditional cake and breakfast for us, and shared many stories about the Faores people and their culture.

A wonderful establishment we gladly recommend to anyone travelling to Faroe Islands.

Hotel Hafnia is in Torshavn’s Old Town, right on the main street, Áarvegur. It offers free in-room Wi-Fi. Guest rooms feature a minibar, tea/coffee facilities and a private bathroom with shower. Very friendly staff that was willing to help. The room was as expected and the hotel is at the city centre close to everything. If you need convenience then Hotel Hafnia is your first choice!

The natural grass roof of this peaceful, design hotel matches the surrounding green countryside. All rooms overlook Nólsoy Fjord and central Tórshavn, which is 2 km away. Wi-Fi is free. Really nice hotel with beautiful view over the city. Big free parking for all the cars, the breakfast was really good and varied. Everything completely met our expectations, even the gym was more than ok.

Hotel Djurhuus is situated only a 9 minute walk from Tórshavn city centre and 350m from Tórshavn harbour. This hotel offers free Wi-Fi and free private self parking. The peacefulness of the area up against the Sea. The rooms are clean, breakfast is great, and there is plenty of hot water for showering. The bed is comfy and only a 9 minute walk into town.
