This Best Western is located in the medieval city of Bourges, 500 metres from Bourges Cathedral. It offers air-conditioned guest rooms, each with a TV, minibar and free Wi-Fi access. a wonderful place in the historic center. quiet surroundings. very friendly and helpful staff. thank you martina and neige. as our shower didn’t work when we arrived we we were quickly given a nice upgrade. excellent breakfast. we would have liked to stay longer but we were on our way home.

Located in Saint Doulchard, Hôtel The Originals Access, Bourges Nord Saint-Doulchard is a 13-minute drive from Bourges city centre and a 10-minute drive from Bourges train station. This is a great place for an overnight stop. You’d probably be happy in here for a longer stay too. It was very comfortable, with everything looking clean and up to date. The people on the front desk were lovely. Forget Burger King next door. Go to the help-yourself Chinese Buffet at Wok18, a few minutes’ walk away. It’s amazing.

Set in Sancerre, the hotel Le Panoramic welcomes you right amid a vineyard and boasts an unrivalled view of the vines. The hotel was gorgeous and the views over the valley were absolutely stunning. I didn’t make it down to the pool area but sat in the bar taking in the beautiful views. The rooms were large and beds were very comfy. Staff were amazing and so helpful. Close by is a little village of bars and restaurants (its a little uphill walk but you get the downhill on the way back!!)
