Very nicely renovated old building. Easy access and parking. We've loved dinner on the terrace with the tasty local wine. The food in the restaurant was really excellent, including a great selection of local cheese.

Set in Barretaine, 25 km from Lac de Chalain, Maison Zugno Hôtel & Spa offers accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The owner couple purchased, restored and operate this lovely hotel and spa. They are both welcoming, professional and a pleasure to speak with following returns from adventures each day. The rooms are incredibly spacious. We were concerned we would not have anything to do and see in such a small town. Well, we ran out of time. The Tour de France passed through one day. There are incredible waterfall hikes, beautiful drives in the area and a quaint town nearby. We drove 30 minutes one day for a lovely wine tour. In addition, MZ offered a lovely breakfast with freshly squeezed OJ, wonderful coffee and freshly made pastries for 15 Euro. One of our favorite things at MZ was dinner. It offered one seating per night for all guests and a surprise four-course menu. We enjoyed dinner immensely two times. This place is romantic and also excellent for business meetings since it offers many tucked-away areas.

This 18th-century chateau is set in a 2.5 hectare park, at the gateway to Bourgogne. It offers architect-designed rooms and a heated outdoor swimming pool. Biggest surprise of our trip. Only chose it as a practical staging post but wandered into a gourmets paradise. The restaurant has a Michelin star and everything is geared to the perfect culinary experience. Our room was exceptionally large and comfortable, the pool and views delightful and the staff simply couldn't do enough for us.

Hotel is absolutly great for travelling over the France. Personal is very kind and rooms although are small has everything you need. Restaurant is amazing. Taste of food is something that I never get before. Also regional vine selection is more than excellent. I'm 100% sure that we will back soon. Strongly recomended.
