The staff; helped us make reservations and met us with the glass of wine and chocolates. The rooms; comfortable, gorgeous and very good AC! The spa; AMAZING!! The food; delicious, beautifully prepared, just the right amount. We were spoiled!

There is even a tranquil little lake just a few minutes walk distance from the house. For a peaceful forest getaway with exceptional service and natural beauty, this hotel is a definite must-visit.

The Gróf Degenfeld Castle Hotel is situated amidst picturesque surroundings in Tarcal, in the heart of the Tokaj-Hegyalja wine region and welcomes all lovers of great wine and nature. It was a magical stay at this quiet hotel castle. We really enjoyed the pool and the scenery around it. Also a place great if you want to have a tasting session from the local sweet and dry white wines. You can serve quite a delicious dinner, probably the best dinner around Tokaj. Really like that you can serve breakfast outside on the terrace in the morning and enjoy a bottle of wine in the evening. Do come prepared with mosquito repellent though :)
