Absolutely gorgeous hotel in a quiet secluded location. Room was immaculate with stunning mountain view. Restaurant was top class.

Amazing view from the room to the open sea. Friendly staff and great location next to a great local place.

The location was good for travelling the ring road. Our room was perfect; comfortable, warm and clean. The owner was really kind, gave us tips for getting around. Also the breakfast was really great. Would recommend for sure.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. * warm, cozy, clean room * very good breakfast * the host was really nice and waited for us to check in even though we got there a little too late

The amazing location of Hotel Skaftafell provides guests with stunning views of Iceland's highest mountain, Hvannadalshnjukur and the largest glacier in Europe, Vatnajökull. Breakfast was nice. Also English breakfast. The room was clean, nice place to stay. And the best is glacier 15 min walk right behind the hotel. No problem with parking. Cattle and tea, coffee in the room DIY.

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull. Conveniently located off the ring road, before turning heading on to Hofn. Nice big room. It was located in another building on the site, separate from the reception building. It had a big lounge area which made for a nice place to relax outside fo our room but still in the warmth.
