The property is located 1 minute walk to the main square of Taquile Island and it is extremely clean with nice and big bedrooms. I would like to thank Mario our host that took extremely good care of us: he assisted our arrival on the island and then walked with us around showing the Inca ruins (an unique experience no tour will do) and then came with us to the new boat pick up point. Before finishing this review, I would like to stress that this property is a true experience of life with the community on Taquile island. Please do not book here if you look just for classic tourist hotel style because this is NOT what you will find. A few suggestions for prospective travelers: - bring with you a disposable battery for phone cause in the island there is no classic electrical outlets in the homes - ask Mario to give you contacts for booking speed boat tickets (kollasuyo agency) cause all the tour are 1 day and is difficult to find the way back - enjoy the spirit of taquile and its community with no Wi-Fi with an open mind We truly loved this experience, chatting with Mario and his wife and eating with them. She always smile and she cooks the best food. During my stay, I also get to dress up in local dress and go to the community dancing party, it was so fun! About the room-you will have the most beautiful view, from the window. Don’t miss everyday morning sunrise. (You can literally watching sunrise in bed) And in the night, you can see the stars and Milky Way with naked eyes. the bed is super comfy, I had the best sleep during my trip in Peru. And they also have toilet can flash, even has hot showers! I didn’t expect there will be hot showers. That’s rare in this island. As a female solo traveler, I feel 100% safe here, I don’t even lock my door, not at all. That’s how I feel about the stay.

Inca lodge - Amantani asub Amantani saarel, 37 km kaugusel Puno sadamast. Kohapeal on restoran ja terrass. Kõikidel tubadel on rõdu. Külalised saavad nautida Ameerika hommikusööki. The accommodation is located in the community on the opposite side respect where the boat from Puno arrives. That's permitted to be the only tourist in this side of the island during our stay. You have to consider 20 soles per person to reach the accommodation from the pier with a motorbike. Otherwise you need at least 1 hour and 30 minute of walk. The host family is amazing, Justa prepared delicious meals and joined us for a while for the walking up to pacha mama on the top of the island. Amantanì is magic, it is a rural island surrounded by the lake. Stunning scenario where to relax and take great pictures. The night sky from the house is unforgettable.

Oliver, Sebastiana and their children are a lovely family who you instantly feel at home with. The room we had was spacious, private and had a beautiful view of the lake. Hot water and WiFi worked amazingly for the area and the food provided (for an extra cost, but really good value), was very tasty and varied. There are a few walks to do in the area to keep you busy, and Oliver can also take you out on his boat to some of the local islands and to see the trout farm he runs (again, for an extra fee but for what you get, we thought it was really good value for money. You have to remember you have the boat completely to yourselves and there were no other tourists on the floating island we visited, making the experience very authentic). There's a really nice outdoor seating to enjoy the sun and view. Getting there is also very easy with collectivos going regularly from Puno and Juliaca for next to nothing. Nothing could have been better. Thank you Oliver, Sebastiana, Diana and little Adele.
