Situated in Trang, 20 km from Trang Clock Tower, Kachonghills Tented Resort Trang features accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. My family of 4, including kids of 9 and 5 loved this place so much. It was just what we were after, 5 nights of peace and quite amidst a beautiful backdrop. We stayed in family room and pool room which were both furnished to high standards and very comfortable. The food was exceptional, we ate dinner there every night. And the staff were so lovely - from the manager, to reception, to restaurant to cleaners....perfect. They also helped show us around the city...I recommend the caves...very impressive. Botanical garden is 100 metres up road (don't miss the waterfall) and within the hotel grounds (including river frontage - perfect for paddling with kids), i took pictures of around 40 species of bird.

There is no specific time for breakfast, you can choose your time between a certain window, which is lovely if you want to move around town. It came on time every day and was super delicious and a big hearty portion too, with extra fresh fruit, yoghurt, coffee or tea.

Facing the beachfront, Mali Kradan offers 4-star accommodation in Koh Kradan and features a garden, restaurant and bar. The hotel also provides free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. Feel like this is THE best spot on the island. I’ve travelled the world and it’s getting harder to find those “Robinson Crusoe” types of escapes. Here’s one… Mali is on one end of Ko Kradan. Seems to enjoy a constant breeze which matters as that means less mosquitoes and more comfort and quiet. The rooms and grounds were the prettiest and very well appointed. You have everything you need: a mini fridge, water, coffee, towels (I kept getting more and more towels). The “patio” are of the bungalows are lovely. The beach is stunning. The water even more so. There are trees, flowers, everything is just quite gorgeous. And you won’t notice it… “magically” all the leaves from the trees are raked from the beach. Cut green grass stretches across the property. Grounds are Immaculate. The bar and restaurant are also lovely. Go barefoot. Relax. Mali has a sense of place and offers that feeling of escape. Owners are always in site and engaged. Personnel is extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast offers Thai and western options (try the Thai — it’s why you’re here). Restaurants serves tasty and solid Thai meals (the southern yellow curry soup will set you on fire 🔥) as well as western comfort food. The fruit shakes are yummy and the best is the mango sticky rice. From the moment you arrive you will be taken care of. It’s either there or they will help you. Leave your shoes, wallet, key, etc. In your room and unplug. Water is perfect temperature at all times and flat for swimming. Just relax, smile and if you need anything ask: ice cream, snorkels, kayaks, tours, drop off to the port, or to be left alone. Please note: Prices on this island are higher than other parts of Thailand as everything must be brought in. That said, you’re still going to pay soooo much less than anything you would in the west.

MOOK BOONCHU HOTEL features free bikes, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Koh Mook. The property is around 200 metres from Hua Laem Prao Beach, 2.6 km from Charlie Beach and 2.9 km from A Lo Dang... The most pleasant accommodation during our 6 week trip to Thailand. Not only is this the most authentic island we have been to, but this hotel is run by an amazing young couple who literally make every wish come true. They go to great lengths to make the stay as wonderful as possible. Excellent breakfast, we tasted sticky rice, toast, home made eggs, juice, vegetables, tea, milk, fruit, sausages, ham, home made jam. The room was very clean and cosy. It is a 30 minute walk to the beach or they will drop you off one way for free. Alternatively you can use a scooter for 200 thb or any tuktuk taxi anywhere on the island for 50 thb. Plus the most comfortable bed ever (180 cm). Nice pilows (4x). Famous stay and we will definitely be back. Thank you very much!

I hurt my arm, getting out of the tuk tuk and immediately they put alcohol on it, then Betadine and a plaster. Very thoughtful ❤️
