The staff was magnificent, kind, and attentive. The facilities are new and beautiful. The pool was perfect to relax in and cool off. The location is centrally located, we even walked to and from the airport. They called for transportation to scuba diving and whale shark tours. The food was excellent and plentiful. We ate all our meals there for 6 days. And the staff was wonderful. All 5 of us in our group, after a month of traveling, highly recommend Mafia Dream

Le personnel est au petit soin, Zeineb nous a chouchouté. Excellentes cuisinières. Gianna et Deus nous ont reçu chaleureusement. Club de plongée au top avec tout le matériel nécessaire, neuf et parfaitement entretenu. Les instructeurs Waziri et Haji sont au top tant sur le plan professionnel qu’humain .

Beautiful bungalows with a huge garden directly in front of the beach. All the bungalows have a big glass front where you can see the garden and at some locations the beach. Incredibly nice staff - try to help and accommodate wherever they can. Could change the room without problems as I needed AC to be able to sleep (March can be incredibly hot and humid). Even came back to the hotel after diving on the other side of the island. Everything seems a bit rustic as first but you will definitely fall in love with it. There is a really really nice gift shop with handicrafts on site - really nice woman from the village, definitely one to support. The locations to the beach is super close and to the left there are two more hotels you can go for dinner or a drink. People all know each other on Mafia and help you with everything! :) Breakfast is great!

The staff was amazing, very hospitable and took care of everything. Breakfast and dinner was great, they have a really great chef and attentive personnel. They also rented us bikes for free, such that we could drive to the dive shop (~10 minutes by bike). Great and inexpensive stay!

Fréquenté par une clientèle hétéroclite, la grande tablée du soir ou le bar qui surplombe la plage sont propices aux rencontres cosmopolites ! Un endroit dont finalement on aimerait presque garder l’adresse secrète. Merci à toute l’équipe du Kitu Kiblu pour ce séjour qui restera longtemps dans nos mémoires. Mention spéciale pour la rencontre avec les requins baleines, au top !

Situé à moins de 6,6 km de la réserve marine Rufiji Mafia Kilwa à Kilindoni, le Mgeni Homestay propose des hébergements avec un coin salon. Mgeni Homestay was the best value accomodation that we've stayed in during our African travels. While the building itself is basic the rooms have everything you need: comfortable bed and pillows, mosquito net, ceiling fan, somewhere to sit that isn't the bed and places to hang your drying towels (and clothes if you've done some handwashing). Aly was also very helpful at organising excursions and taxis for us, while Bunda cooked fresh, delicious and generous meals (including a good amount of vegetables, which can be hard to come by). The homestay is close enough to the airport that you can walk there if you have packs (not ok for wheelie suitcases) and don't mind a hot walk. The ATMs are also a short walk further than the airport so they are also accessible. We appreciated our stay so much that we returned for second stay before leaving the island.
