Hotel Villa Marie is one of the best places we've stayed in our years of travelling to different countries. Our rooms have the view of Lake Como and waking up to this view every morning was simply magical. My husband and I, together with our 2 children went to Lake Como to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. When the staff learned of this, they offered the rooftop terrace of the hotel which had a magnificent view of the lake so we could take nice photos on the day of our renewal of vows ceremony. In the morning of our renewal of vows, when the staff learned that I needed to iron my husband's suit, they let me use their laundry area for free. The staff of Hotel Villa Marie : Elizabeth and husband Andrea, Stephanie and Sarah, were all wonderful. We loved our stay so much and their generosity to us that we left a simple gift of Swiss chocolates to them to let them know how much we appreciate them.

Everything! The location was perfect, views were incredible!! Wish we could have stayed for longer. The staff were so helpful and went above and beyond for us. The whole of the property was always spotlessly clean and you can tell the owners take great pride in their hotel. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed in a lovely corner room with views both over lake Como and towards the pool/mountains and balconies in both directions. The hotel has an underground garage which is great during the hot summer months. The pool is smallish but still a great addition as the hotel is situated a bit up the mountainside. The lounge chairs at the pool have a great view across the lake. We had dinner at the hotel and they offer both a buffet plus à la carte. We chose one of each and both very happy with the quality of food. Dinner is served on the back garden terrace with amazing views across the lake. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. Breakfast had plenty of choice. We only stayed one night but would happily stayed longer if weren't on a fixed itinerary.

The apartment was absolutely clean and fully equipped with everything you need for a life. The owners are really kind and helpful with all request and questions. The mansion is close to the noisy road, the sleeping room is, however, on the opposite side and it's no problem with the noise within nights. We would like to spend more time in and will be back in the future for sure.

A very pleasant hostess who is always ready to answer any question. Nearby there is a local supermarket, a bus stop, a boat rental and Villa Balbianello. In the evening, you can drink wine and sit romantically on the terrace under a lantern, admiring the beautiful scenery of the mountains and Italian rural streets. The atmosphere here is just wonderful. We had a great rest and relaxed here.

Every member of staff was helpful and friendly with lots of conversation. Facilities were excellent and breakfast an impressive variety. Our room was very clean and comfortable with lovely little touches like the jacuzzi bath and sweet little toiletries. Even Twinnings tea if you fancied a cuppa! The living room and kitchen are spacious and both have double aspect windows, providing bright and airy accommodation. The garden is an absolute delight with its many areas for sitting out and relaxing in the shade.
