Our room was spacious and comfortable. Traditional Japanese breakfast included. Conveniently located, few minutes walk from the main station and Matsumoto castle.

Located in the historical Shibu Onsen district, 渋温泉小石屋旅館 offers both private and dormitory-style guest rooms as well as an on-site restaurant where local dishes, wines and craft beers are available. Great location at the heart of ryokan alley, very hospitable hosts that can shuttle you from the Yudanaka Station to their place free of charge (prior reservation needed), nice cozy restaurant with kotatsu (very relevant when it is cold), comfortable ryokan with lots of space and a gas heater. The host was shinning and always smiling, it gave us good mood for two days. Also she helped us out with the reservation for the onsen and gave us a ride to that place and brought us back in an hour. Shibu Onsen Koishiya Ryokan are the best and we will definitely stay here if we ever come back to Japan again. ps we also left some chocolate from our country and asked them to pin it on their big wall in their cafe. we hope you liked the chocolate!

Com banhos termais ao ar livre, uma piscina interior aquecida e belos jardins japoneses, o Senjukaku apresenta acomodações de estilo japonês tradicional com um charme histórico. Breakfast was amazing. Staff was accommodating and the facilities were perfect.

O Hotel Fuki no Mori fica a 20 minutos de carro da Estação Ferroviária JR Nagiso através do serviço de transporte gratuito do hotel. If you want to feel some Japanese culture and nature - this is the right place, and with a stile.

A 7-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Yorozuya features hot spring baths, a hot tub and Japanese-style rooms with a private terrace and private bathroom. Really nice and friendly staff. Nice and clean rooms. Generous breakfasts and dinners with daily changing menues - the wagyu meat was especially good! Private spa with finnish sauna, steam bath, onsen water, cold bath, outside area and even a massage seat and included drinks was bookable for a small fee. Free coffee and tea available in the lounge (tea also in the room). Convenient shuttle service to the train station.

Situado apenas a 5 minutos a pé do histórico Santuário de Togakushi, o Oshi Ryokan é um alojamento tradicional situado numa pacífica zona montanhosa, que costumava acolher peregrinos. Felt instantly comfortable and at home. Beautiful old building. Wonderful staff and food!

Apenas a 10 minutos de carro do Parque dos Macacos de Neve, o Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya apresenta acomodações simples de estilo japonês com acesso Wi-Fi gratuito. We stayed at many ryokans on our trip. None came close to Yamazakiya. The host family are friendly beyond belief, always smiling, always helpful. We got a free pick-up from the train, drop-off to the train and round trip to the snow monkey park. The place is cute, we had a huge room with fluffy, comfy tatami beds and a sitting area. Everyone got yukatas to wear around the house. It's a small place with two private onsens and we were easily able to book both for an hour for our group of four, giving us the chance to try two different rooms. We had messaged ahead to book dinner (good English spoken), a vegetarian option was no problem and my, what a treat we got. It must have been 10+ little courses, fine dining at its best. All around, highly, highly recommended! If you enter through the front door, don't forget to take a stroll out the back door - it leads straight onto the village's main street, filled with many cute, ancient houses.

A 3-minute walk from Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Kadowakikan features ski-to-door access, a hot spring bath and free WiFi. clean, has everything that you need for ski, wonderful Onsen, the owner is very helpful, close to the entrance of the ski resort

O Tawaraya está situado a 5 minutos a pé da Estação Ferroviária de Yudanaka e apresenta acomodações de estilo japonês com acesso Wi-Fi gratuito e uma televisão de ecrã plano. The service as this Ryokan was 10/10, and was the most authentic one we stayed in during our 4 weeks in Japan. The staff were so lovely, and spoke great English. They showed us to our room, and gave us essentially a "room tour" whilst we drank complimentary tea. They gave us a map with nearby restaurants and ammenties noted on it. The private outdoor onsen was SO nice! You book a slot upon arrival, which you can access in the evening with 30 min slots. The onsen was large and the perfect contrast with the fresh cool air in the evening. Yukatas were provided for us as an option to wear around the hotel - both my partner and I are bigger than the average Japanese person (Wife is plus size, I am 6ft 2) and we both comfortably fit into the ones picked out for us. The only thing that threw us was that during breakfast, they cleared the beds from our room - had we known people would go in, we'd probably have neatened the room a bit haha! P.S don't skip the sushi restaurant a few doors down from the hotel. The sushi was EXQUISITE and they even have a phonetic Japanese to English page at the front so you can have a go at ordering properly with the chef.
