Nice hotel in great location just ten minutes walk from old town. Staff were excellent and breakfast very good. Has no parking but there is a public car park under the hotel at 9 Euros a day though it is not easy to spot the entrance! Excellent supermarket in shopping centre next door if you want to stock up on French wine!

When we finally found the hotel which is in a back road near the station it was a pleasant surprise. Possibly could use a sign on the main with directions. As we missed it 3 times.

It is a lovely city and the hortillonages are very interesting and lovely to walk in.
The cathedral is well worth a visit and we had the privilege of attending Sunday Mass there which we loved. Very reverent and befitting of true worship. Beautiful singing.
We can also recommend Ad Hoc Café in the St Leu district. Good food and well priced; good vibe.

This visit (my second to Amiens) Day 1 started at the Saturday canal-side market, lots of stalls with seasonal vegetables, fruit and herbs grown in the Hortonillage and the Somme region. Then I dipped into some shops - including an inspiring visit to the ground floor of the big Monoprix where clever lighting makes quite ordinary day to day food look irresistible, some of the many new and secondhand bookshops, a huge ironmongers and an over-the-top patisserie. In the afternoon, to Jules Verne's house: a wonderfully, eccentric building; full of marvellous furniture and objects, very well curated. I spent the whole of Day 2 (7 am - 4 pm at the extraordinary - huge - Spring Braderie. I found that my visit to the Jules Verne house, and its thoughtful interpretation made the market especially enjoyable. Many of the stalls had examples of the things I had found so interesting in the house - for instance archeological finds, including flint axes, found around Amiens; corals and shells; endless examples of oil lamps (some working, other 'do-er' uppers). Many stalls had very good pieces of ceramic from different periods and cultures. Lots of the stall holders were up for a good bit of haggling. Then a glass of beer in the sun-shine ,sitting on the street outside a cafe, buzzing with laughing locals and visitors.
Amiens is a very walkable city, its buildings are fabulous. It's lively and very clean.

Lovely old town centre and especially the cathedral.
Lovely old town centre and especially the cathedral. Well worth a look around. Nice cafes. Parking was initially a problem as large town centre car park ticket machines did not work. We got a side street machine which worked fine.

Amiens is a small city, and perfect for walking.
Amiens is a small city, and perfect for walking. The cathedral in particular, is spectacular, but it's not the only place of interest in, or around, the town. St Leu, and Les Hortillonnages, plus Le Jardin des Plantes, are well worth visiting and, of course, many of the WW1 sites are within very easy reach, by car.

Amiens is an old city with old world charm.
Amiens is an old city with old world charm. It is great walking through the old town and the cathedral. It also has a lot of great restaurants. Amiens also is a great base for visiting the World War One battlefields.
The staff were very helpful, you felt they were always happy to help. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable.
Nice continental breakfast.
The hotel is secure with a fob to get you in the main door if there are no staff on reception.
Location of the hotel is very good, maximum 15 minute walk from the centre of town and all of the attractions.
Amiens itself is a lovely place with plenty to do. It is also a fairly short drive away from other nice towns eg Beauvais.
Not only an excellent LOCATION from which to visit the Somme battlefield, Amiens itself was interesting- the hortillonage, the cathedral (fascinating tympanum), and some lovely restaurants. We spent 2 nights at the Priory which is wonderfully positioned, just steps from the cathedral, and with parking close by. The hotel, and our room, fully met our expectations. The staff were very helpful before and during our stay. We would happily return, and would recommend.
Excellent location. Parking underneath the hotel. Entrance to parking is Amiens 2.
Supermarket in the same building complex.
Plenty of food outlets opposite hotel.
Close to the centre and Cathedral.
Room was superb: spacious, clean comfotable.
Staff were very helpful and pleasant.
Good selection at breakfast.
Will definitely chose this hotel when in Amiens again.
Amelie and her family made us very welcome in this beautiful century old hotel, lovingly restored. Amelie gave us good advice on what to see , and where to eat on the quay. The cathedral towers over the property in Rue Robert de Luzarches, named after the architect who designed this epic building. We left after a lovely breakfast served by Amelie
It is a good central location for bars, restaurants etc. The appartment was clean and well equipped with some thoughtful touches and basic provisions provided. We hired some bikes (www.velam.amiens.fr/) to cycle around the city and along the river (en.francevelotourisme.com/cycle-route/somme-valley-cycle-route) - they only cost 1 euro a day!
The hotel is Jules Verne-themed which was fun -- room very modern and casual, although not totally functional (geared more toward international hipsters than us); bed not particularly comfy, mattress too thin/hard after having come from 7 great nights sleep Halkidiki, Greece -- but different price point!
Everything was wonderful! It was a cozy apartment in a great location!! It was wonderful communicating with the owner, and he made it very easy for us. We look forward to visiting Amiens again, and hope we can stay at La WAIDE again !!when we come back❤️
The hotel itself is great, being modern, clean and roomy. The rooms were big well equipped and very comfortable.
Breakfast was also good.
Also Amiens is a lovely place to visit.
Many choices for breakfast, hot and cold. Closest hotel to the train station but room was quiet. Reception was very helpful and friendly. Location is close to all main sights.
This is my most favorite place to stay in Amiens. It is just wonderful. That there is a view of the most beautiful cathedral in the world makes it even more special
Good breakfast; location not that great so I did not get to see anything of Amiens. OK for a one night stop over. More motel than hotel but the price was fine.
